Here is where we can brainstorm plot ideas for movies and/or a novel. And then if someone makes a movie or writes a novel based on the plot we come up with, we can take the credit for it (in our head : )
I’ll go first. There a big evil lab on a big plot of land where they do testing on animals. Along comes a vigilante activist group who thinks they are doing the radical thing by freeing all the animals. Though they have good intentions, it ends up releasing whatever the animals have been injected with (gain-of-function) into the wild where both pets and human beings then contract the (otherwise unnatural occurring disease).
Both the Scientists and the Activists view themselves as the good guys, but both are contributing to evil in their own ways. As are the politicians who are funding the gain-of-function research.
