Hey Guys. I’m here to ask for prayers for an easing of the scrupulosity and anxiety. my brain went into overdrive and my OCD gave me anxiety so bad i had to ask to take one of my brother’s medications (benzo). could you please for an easing my anxiety and scrupulosity and for my physician to prescribe something to ease the anxiety while we work on increasing my SSRI dose? thanks in advance and God bless!
Scrupulocity is a real danger. I sometimes fall into that trap.
But when I do, I try to remember that the intent to confess all of your (my) sins at Confession is what matters even if your list of sins is less than perfect.
Also, there’s a story somewhere (not sure where) where Jesus was speaking to a sinner who was upset that he or she continued to sin. He replied “Just try”. Meaning that just being humble and acknowledging your faults and sins, means a lot.
Bottom line is, the intent to sincerly repent is what matters. We are still and always will be imperfect humans.
