I’ve been following the US-Israel war on Iran since the first bombs were dropped in 2026. But I have to remind myself that I walk a tightrope with this issue because I have personal issues with Muslims/Islam: personal opinions which slant my view in support of decimating the Iranians.
On the one hand, I believe the Iranian regime is terrorist who view the U.S. and Israel as enemy #1 and enemy #2, respectively. Then on the other hand, I know that not all Muslims are evil and are, too, children of God created by our Father. So I’m pulled by an interior tug-of-war.
Since 9/11 Islam has put a very bad taste in my mouth. I remember the exact day and hour, precisely where I was, what I was doing, and even what clothes I was wearing when I seen on TV the World Trade Centers collapse, and people jumping out of 100 story windows to escape death by fire. I also remember seeing the profile and story of the youngest flight passenger (a 2-1/2 year old girl) who died with her parents while on her way in flight (Flight 175) to meet Micky Mouse in California’s Disney World. Her name is Christine Lee Hanson.
I know that we as Catholics are commanded to forgive. We ask the Father to forgive us our sins as we forgive others who sin against us in the Lord’s Prayer. I pray constantly for … that I may somehow overcome the bad taste I have for Islam and Muslims, and for those who want me dead simply because I’m an American.
Many of us have skeleton’s in our closet, and this is one of mine. I don’t speak of this topic very often any more because I am Catholic. I don’t tend to spread hatred/discord for others openly or influence others negatively by expressing myself and sharing my experiences. I’m sorry and I apologize in advance if I’ve offended anyone who’ve read my testimony above.
Now, today, I’m very pleased to see the US negotiating with the Iranians in bringing peace to that region. Making the world a safer place for everyone. It’s my hope that by what evil came out of that War, God can make for miracles. +

What I find interesting is how different the news is presented on this issue. My Boss has Right-wing Talk Radio on all day. I am a Libertarian (conservative in the tradigital sense of the word and not in this new Trumpian sense). Many Republicans are quick to buy the narrative that Iran was close to Nukes, but Benjamin Netanyahu has been making this claim for decades. It is kind of like the boy who cried wolf.
Back in the day, I fell for the narrative that claimed Saddam Hussein had “weapons of mass destruction” and therefore we needed to go to war (while not declaring war) with Iraq.
And here we are now also attacking Iran with an absence of declaration of war. I do not buy that Iran “was weeks away” from having nukes.
I am about two years behind on my Podcasts in my car and I was listening to an episode from the Comedy Cellar Podcast and they had a guest who go t fired from NPR for calling out the news agency for being not just bias on the Left, but over 95 percent of employees for the Washington branch of NPR (of which he had worked for) who voted, were Democrats. An he, himself is a Democrat, but saw how certain stories were being covered up leading up to the 2020 elections and beyond. How they covered up for President Biden’s cognitive decline among other things.
The owner of the Comedy Cellar is Jewish and he is very supportive of the State of Israel. Leading up to the 2024 election (when this episode came out) the Democrats had just chosen Tim Walz over Josh Shapiro and their main differences were on this conflict between Israel and Hamas.
And now that we have seen what happened to Thomas Mass in the recent Primary, and what happened to the Democrats in the 2024 Presidential Election, I think it is safe to say that if you want to get elected in the modern United States, you have to support the State of Israel or you will lose elections. There are exceptions. For instance the Mayor in New York.
We shall see in the 2028 Election who wins. My guess is that the candidates who are opposed to the war in Iran or speak critically of Israel will lose. But, this is just a hypothesis. We’ll see how it plays out.
I plan to be a Delegate at the National Libertarian Convention and will be voting for our 2028 Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates. I do know that Dr. Jo Jorgensen is considering running again. I would love for Thomas Massie and Justin Amash to run, but I do not see them running as Libertarians, even though they are libertarian in their principles.
Most Americans are tired of unjust wars and being lied to about the reasons for going to war. But, funding is what wins elections and if the largest donors are pro-Israel, then it doesn’t really matter what voters are tired of, because money talks and elections are more about winning power and less about what is right and just.
But, we’ll see how this all plays out. If Massie runs against Vance for the Republican nomination in 2028, they will do to Massie what they did to Ron Paul back in 2012. Vance will be your nominee if he runs. A lot can happen between now and then.
I’m glad that at least you are well informed. We get what we pray for: we get the authorities (civilian, religious, etc.) that we deserve for not praying more for them, especiallyoffering mortifications and Masses.

I think what you post as Professor Hitler is idiocrasy and has no place in the thought of genuine Catholic Christians. Freedom of choice is a freedom which is God-given. You are not God, nor a god, nor does the ideology you post support Christianity, or humanity. It isn’t your choice who will and will not be “free”. Obviously you’re not an American, nor a Christian, but rather the echo of Pharisees and Sadducees. They said the same exact thing about Jesus of Nazareth… banning and murdering anything which they don’t understand nor agree with. This is what you’re probably familiar with as dictatorship and communism. Professor Hitler, possibly you feel at home with these and are comfortable with spreading it’s ideas of removing free will from God-given gifts. Have a nice day, Hitler.
