Unity & Disunity within the Church[es]

I caution my Catholic Christian Church going down this Synodal road that Pope Francis and Pope Leo are pushing. Here is an example of what happens when you embrace orthodox Christianity and not the nonsense that the world is embracing.

Once again…what a crying shame. And, if we’re being truthful here, this is nothing new. Even in Jesus’s time, Jesus challenged the religious narrative at the time.

The reason why you don’t make a religion out of values that huemans love and cherish, is to avoid corruption within the Church. Especially when it comes to Catholicism, how can you expect anything good to come from morals being treated as a business? Because unfortunately, that’s how corruption is born.

It’s no different than treating politics as a job. Yes, it’s a job in a sense, cause you do get paid for it, but if you treat politics like you would an actual job, you’re going to have a bunch of people who get into politics all because the pay is good. The last thing the United States of America needs is a politician who is there mostly because of the pay. Yes, it’s a job, but it’s also a duty to listen to your constituents and be a good representative to your individual state.

Same thing should apply to religion. The reason why Jesus went against the religion at the time when he was alive, was because Jesus knew that not everything that that religion was teaching was loving or even charitable.

Huemans are going to continually put themselves in a time loop, and you’re just going to see a constant cycle of repeating the same stuff over and over. But, because this is what the collective wants, then those who don’t go along with the collective have to suffer, because that’s how this system works. As long as it benefits 80% of the people, the other 20% have to live with it, even if they disagree. I get that we live in a “majority wins” kind of system, but those who are of the minority shouldn’t have to suffer the choices the majority makes. Jesus never wanted a religion created with him as a messiah. Jesus was here to open our eyes to our divine nature, thus being able to save ourselves.

Religion’s just another way to divide people. It’s easier to see people divided than people united. What a sad state of affairs…..

LGBTQA.i.+ is a religion. I’m not saying that everyone who struggles with disordered attractions is a member of that religion. I know some personally who are not. They are not trying to change the Apostolic Faith nor force their religion onto others.

If you want a Church that says everything you do is affirmed and good (even though it isn’t), there is a denomination out there that probably teaches that. As of right now, the “Divided” Methodist Church or the ELCA are probably the closest. Or you can go plant your own.

Everyone has a religion (even those who claim they do not). I define religion as What someone believes and acts upon. Some make their politics their religion. Others make their anti-Theism their religion.

Jesus brought both unity (John 17:21-23; Galatians 3:28; John 13:34-35) and disunity (Matthew 10:34-36; 18:17).

I will close with a message from St. Paul and his co-worker in Christ Jesus:

"I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles, in opposition to the teaching that you learned; avoid them.

For such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the innocent.

For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I want you to be wise as to what is good, and simple as to what is evil."

“God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him” (John 3:17). AND God did not come to affirm individuals in their sin either.

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Those who are wise in their own eyes…” (Isaiah 5:20-21).

“I now write to you not to associate with anyone named a brother [referring to fellow Christians], if he is sexually immoral, greedy, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunkard, or a robber, not even to eat with such a person” (1 Corinthians 5:11).

St. Paul is addressing individual in the church.

My problem is not with outsiders. It is with individuals in the body of Christ.

“For why should I be judging outsiders? Is it not your business to judge those within? God will judge those outside. “Purge the evil [inside] person from your midst.” (verses 12-13).

It is when the LGBTQA.i.+ members try to corrupt Christianity that I have a problem (with those who’s vocation it is to protect & simply clarify the teachings against this nonsense, rather than go along with it).

One more thing. There is way more unity within the LGBTQA.i.+ religion than within Christianity, but a lack of redemption if you stray from their doctrine. How do I know this, because my Sister-in-law is a member and has brought my brother and their two children into it. They have disowned us. I have not seen my brother in over five years now, which sucks! One of my neices identifies as a 13 year old boy and demands everyone outside their religion use her pręferred pronouns. Then the younger, at the age of four years old decided she wanted to change her pronouns too! They decorate their home during their holy Month of PRĪDE. They take their daughters to the procession in the City during their holy season.

My Mom tried to play the pronoun game so that she could see her grand-daughters (whom she loves), but slipped and accidentally used one of their “dead” names. Now my Mom is not allowed to see them (unless they want something from my Mom). My brother has lost all respect for Mom and my Mom is probably the most loving and caring persons I know. I think it is really sad. My Mom has apologized. It was not done on purpose. But, as I said, there is little to know redemption. You are canceled for life.

But, if my Parents use their children’s “dead” name in their Will, I’m sure they will have no problem with taking any inheritance. When my Dad died, my Sister-in-law acted like it was Black Friday give-away. All I could do was grieve the loss of my Dad. Meanwhile she began taking claim to much of what he owned. I have accepted that this is just the way she is. Can she accept that I am the person that I am? Unlikely.

Catholics have a thing rarely exercised called excommunication, but if the excommunicated repent of their ways, there is reconciliation. No so when it comes to cancel-culture or de-platforming, which is what these modern religions use when someone steps out of line (or in my Mom’s case, makes a simple mistake).

You might be happy about what Pope Leo (or whoever manages his Twitter feed) tweeted Today:

Sounds like something The Anti-Christ would post, but I digress ; )

Just so we’re clear here, I am in no way advocating for an LGBTQ+ Lifestyle. While I may struggle with same sex attraction, I also recognize that having these desires isn’t normal.

Even when I was sexually active, I always despised the LGBTQ+ community. When I went down to my states “gay friendly” area, it was boring as all can be. It seems like the only thing gay people would frequent would be bars or clubs (with the occasional bathhouse, which was disturbing if I’m being honest).

Honestly, the entire LGBTQ+ Community needs to see a therapist. Talk about a bunch of unhappy people. Most gay men and lesbian women tend to have problems with their same sex parents. And sadly, these same people want nothing to do with their parents. It’s basically a bunch of broken people seeking other broken people. It’s just really sad. I actually sympathize with them more than anything. Those people need help.

I know you and I disagree with a lot of things, but I want you to know that I’m like you. Why in the hell (no pun intended) do Churches feel the need to fly the Pride Flag and not the American Flag? There’s really something wrong there.

The type of “minority” I’m talking about is the fact that people like me who don’t actually belong to any organization, or community, or Church. I wasn’t trying to defend homosexuality, rather I was born into this system that I never agreed to, and I think that’s wrong. The fact that when you’re born in a hospital, your parents apply for a birth certificate is I think wrong. I think having a birth certificate is stupid. I don’t want to be a part of this system, but once that birth certificate gets entered into a computer, now I’m officially part of this flawed system. And now, as an adult, I have to come up with enough money to get myself out of the system and it’s just annoying. I should be able to just say “I no longer want to be a part of the system” and I should have the option of living off grid, but no, you have to have money to get yourself out of the system. The system is corrupt, and till it crashes and burns, we’re basically just going to continue to be slaves is what it boils down to.

Thanks for having a discussion with me. I always enjoy our discussions, even if we don’t see eye to eye on everything.

I appreciate you. Some of what you said and the way you said it made me chuckle. As far as flying a flag in Church, I’m not even sure I like having the American flag on the altar. I pledge allegiance to God; not to a flag. When we say the pledge of allegiance in the fraternal group I am a member of, I usually say a Prayer for our Country while everyone else is saying the pledge. I’ll begin with, “I pledge allegiance to God and I Pray for this Republic…”

Some Catholic Churches will have the Vatican and the American flag (and I assume Canada flag in Canada, Japanese flag in Japan, etc.) either at the back of the Church or off to each side of the Altar. As long as they are not draping it on or above the Altar, I have less of a problem with it.

Patriotism is not all bad. St. Thomas Aquinas viewed patriotism as a virtue and a dutiful love for one’s country and fellow citizens, not in place of God, but as a secondary love. It is like how we Honor Mary, and Protestants/Evangelical think that this takes away from our love for God or that we put her in place of God. To do so would be idolatry. So, when Protestants or Evangelicals say that we worship Mary, will often point out how they pledge allegiance to a flag. I know they do not worship the flag, but I say this to illustrate the point.
