President Biden Misuse of the Sign of the Cross

Well, he is Catholic by virtue of being baptized. However, I would have to say he is a poor Catholic and not in good standing. I would like to add that it is his bishops fault for not correcting him. It is the bishops responsibility as shepherd to correct his flock, (Feed my sheep were the words spoken by Jesus). If they fail to do their job, they will be dealt with severely. (Ezekiel 13:18-21- Luke 12:48)

CINO (Catholic In Name Only)
At least Pelosi’s Bishop stood up to her but the Bishop in DC favors public opinion more than the teachings of Christ. It’s insane how even Bishops will butt heads over the simplest of issues.

There is a factor here in Biden’s case and I am not sure how the Church would handle it. Biden is obviously mentally declining. He made it more apparent with his stumbling and then literally falling at the Air Force academy in Colorado yesterday. The question of does he still have the mental capacity to correctly exercise his faith is valid question, but not a write off.

I know that many Catholic politicians from the demoncrat party use the excuse, ‘I’m against abortion but I can’t take the Churches beliefs and legislate it on other Americans who are not Catholic”.

Here is where the Bishops need to have the, the, ba…. uh the courage to stand up and fight against abortion, gay marriages, transsexuals, etc. That’s just like saying, “I’m against lynching but I can’t impose my beliefs on others to freely express themselves if they want to lynch someone.”

As St Pope John Paul II said, “A law which violates an innocent person’s natural right to life is unjust and, as such, is not valid as a law. For this reason I urgently appeal once more to all political leaders not to pass laws which, by disregarding the dignity of the person, undermine the very fabric of society” (Evangelium Vitae 90).

The USCCB needs to say “Enough is enough”, (or as Popeye the sailor would say, “Enough is too much.") Any politician who is “pro-choice” (and what is that choice but to murder the child) should refrain from receiving communion until they publicly renounce their stance. I’m tired of the USCCB being so wishy-washy. Are they afraid of losing $$ in the collection basket? If so, then where is their trust in God? According to Ezekiel 3:18 -21 they will be held responsible if they do not correct their sheep; the bishops should be shaking on this verse. Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.”

—Lord God Almighty, please "Give give our bishops a spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love, to fight for TRUTH. "

Yes, I am not good at it but He told us to pray for our enemies.

I didn’t see Biden do that but I don’t believe that he is a real Catholic I think he says he is but in reality he isn’t few of his personal characteristics convey a man who is a Catholic. First he lies non-stop for one thing and he is pro-abortion up until the moment of birth. And the list is endless.

What you think how you feel what you believe is politics. How do you separate politics from what you stand for or from anything unless you are duplicitous.

Hi Eli,

The key is to not make your politics your Religion. If the beliefs of your political affiliation trumps (pardon the term) Sacred Scripture and Tradition, then you are serving two masters.

I am a Libertarian. When Republicans hear the term libertarian, they often confuse it for libertinism. These are not the same. Though some Libertarian philosophers used to use the term “liberal” to describe themselves, it should not be confused with “liberals” (progressives) today. This is another mistake that Republicans make when they hear the term “libertarian.”

Democrats, on the other hand, think of Libertarians as being Republican light, which is also a mistake.

The truth is that there many Catholic Christians who are Libertarian. Frédéric Bastiat was Catholic, Tom Woods is a Catholic. And I am Catholic.

Like in our current culture in general, the pro-abortion voices are much louder than the pro-life voices. This is true within the Libertarian Party as well, however, there are more of us Pro-lifers than some might think. We were able to remove the pro-abortion/pro-life plank from the National platform at our last convention! Though the plank tried to be courteous of both positions, it fell short from a pro-life point-of-view (in my opinion). So, if anyone tells you that you cannot be a real libertarian if you are pro-life is false.

If you are a Catholic and Democrat and you believe in abortion (and other things that go against Catholic Christian teaching), then chances are, you have made your politics your Religion.

If you are a Catholic and Republican and you believe in the death penalty and support unjust wars (often for oil and political power) then chances are, you have made your politics your Religion.

If you are a Catholic and Libertarian and you believe we can do whatever we want (libertinism) then chances are, you have made your politics your Religion. Liberty and responsibility is very important. If your only principle is the non-aggression principle, then you are not living your Christian Faith.

So, be careful not to get sucked into politics so deep that it wrecks your relationship with God and with others.

Balance, look to the Davidic Monarchy in the Bible. One area of thought can feed into and strengthen each other

Your concern about the state of grace of the President is noted. But do not become dismayed by his lack of proper expressions of faith. Renew in your own life a dedicated service to teach others the faith handed down to us from Jesus through the Apostles. Don’t judge the one who sins, but be an example of salutary love to gather the wandering person back to the Throne of Mercy. If You have heard the message of salvation and have believed, then you are blessed. Pray for those who have heard the same message or invitation to follow Jesus but who have refused to believe. We are not gods. Pray that the leader be open to the grace of the Holy Spirit. Be consistent in your gentle prayer to God, but do not cause yourself to become to fall into despair. Ask the Father in His Name and then continue on your journey with Christ. "The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me as I am now. " Peace.

Totally agree. God will deal with him in the end!!!

Biden and Pelosi are automatically excommunicated from the Church by reason of their heresy. The condemnation of abortion is an infallible doctrine of the Catholic Church and they defy it.

They are already excommunicated and bared from holy Communion.

Biden is already excommunicated as a heretic.

I am a faithful Catholic which gives me the right to criticize the Pope. so does every faithful Catholic.

Not much to say about Biden, other than he needs to stop being a fake catholic, high price to pay
