Ocd/scrupulosity/anxiety disorder/Autism and seeking treatment

Unfortunately, scrupulosity is a side effect of pride. Please, please read something about St. Francis. He knew joy in giving up everything to God. He knew joy in focusing on the humility of God incarnate. I’m getting so much out of “Poverty and Joy The Franciscan Tradition” By William Short, OFM.

"O Lord, whose love is based not on my righteousness but on your own, quiet my incessant, obsessive introspection and turn my eyes outward and upward.

When my mind fixates on fear, doubt, and the heavy burden of my own perceived shortcomings, meet me with your gentle grace. Remind me that you do not measure me by my perfect performance, nor do you demand that I untangle every anxious, looping thought on my own.

Grant me the courage to let go of the need for absolute certainty and control. Wrap my heart in the truth that your mercy is infinitely greater than my fears, and help me to rest safely in your finished work and steadfast love.

In the name of the One who holds me when I am weak. Amen."

well it’s a good thing my OCD is a result of a malfunctioning brain and not pride. praying the prayer when my scrupulosity lightens up.

One could say pride is a brain malfunction of course. Taking your thinking to be truer than God’s Divine Mercy.

“In Te confido, Iesu”

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Thy mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Thy holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

One should always hold their confidence, of course. If we hold it in ourselves, we shall soon realize just how small and weak we really are.
