Well yeah, of course my beliefs are contrary. I never said they wasn’t. I guess for me, I already know most of what you guys believe in cause at one point I was Catholic. One of the biggest reasons why I left the Church was because some of what Catholic’s believe in didn’t make sense to me on an intellectual level, which kind of started me going down a really scary path that I wish on no one. And, I can private message you and go deeper into that if you wish to discuss that with me further (but if not that’s ok too).
That’s mostly true, I say mostly because I do believe that some of the people who were involved in establishing the Church may have been good people and had good intentions. And, as anyone on this forum will tell you, to me intention is everything, because intention is a reflection of what is in the heart. So, I do think there were probably people with good intentions in there. However, I also think, depending on the person, there are some people who kind of hide behind that statement too, that they only had good intentions. And, not only does that make people with genuinely good intentions look horrible, but it also reeks of dishonesty, and with the amount of people involved in the Hierarchial structure of Catholicism through the years, it wouldn’t surprise me if someone hid behind that statement too. This is why, if I’m being brutally honest, this is why action is more important than mere words. We can look at what someone says, and get a totally wrong depiction of who they are, but when it comes to actions, we can really see if someone’s actions line up with what it is they’re saying. This is why it makes believing Catholicism that much more difficult because it’s not like they had camcorders back then to where we can actually observe someone’s actions.
So….this is what I believe. I believe in God and Jesus Christ, cause whenever I do my research while combining my knowledge of the spirit (or what I call consciousness), it stands to reason that God is real and Jesus Christ is also real, and that both beings exist. But exactly what happened back then regarding God and Jesus I have a different opinion. Cause, it’s not just research that I do, but it’s also pure observation and being able to connect the dots using critical thinking and out-of-the-box thinking. And the fact that The Bible has been retranslated over and over again, therefore losing its true meaning (or getting a more watered down meaning), it’s so important, especially nowadays, to really question things especially when things don’t add up. Cause if something doesn’t add up, that means there’s a disconnect somewhere and something isn’t fully true, distorted through time, etc…
Well, I don’t think the Church will ever innerstand me, but the same can be said about me ever innerstanding the Church. But thank you too, and God bliss!
