Awesome! I am so glad that you are here! Welcome. There is a little bit of a learning curve when joining a new forum, but you will get the hang of it : )
My Wife and I spent part of our 20th Anniversary in New Orleans. It was a fun City. We do not drink nor partake in the debauchery that New Orleans is known for, but we did attend Mass there, walked around a bit, and enjoyed some of the good food you guys have.
Glad you enjoyed our city and the food. We have problems trying to decide what kind of seafood to eat since we are right here on the Gulf, between shrimp, crabs, or crawfish. Hope you were able to go to Mass in St. Louis Cat. in the French quarter. Beautiful church built in the 1800,s and where I was confirmed. We also have the New Orleans Saint here. They were named after the Catholic Saints when they were formed in 1968.
St. Louis Cat is Located in the French Quarter over looking the Mississippi River. That is the Church I was confirmed in when I became a Catholic about 15 years ago. I had been a Baptist from 10 years old and I am 79, and happy to be Catholic with St. Therese helping and walking beside me.
Oh yeah, I do remember seeing it (now that I have googled it), but I did not think it looked Catholic. I made a joke that we were at Disney World as we walked along the River : )
