I’m 79 years. Raised a Baptist in Mississippi. Married my wife in 1969, who was born and raised a Catholic in New Orleans, La. You may not know but it is said that New Orleans has a Catholic Church on every corner, city being almost 70% Catholic. I became a Catholic about 15 years ago, went through RCIA. My teacher suggested I pick a Saint to help me through my lessons. I chose Saint Therese the Little Flower and she has been helping me greatly. I just finish a Novena to her since my wife fell and has had a head injury.
I was in the Marine Corp. for 6 years and I have been also saying a Novena for our servicemen.
I have not been to Mass for 4 years, because we have had so much sexual abuse cases, mostly with alter boys here in New Orleans. The cases for these boys has finally come to and end and there is over 300 boys and the courts has awarded them around $350,000,000. The church has been having to sell Catholic Churches that are not many people attend
