The American capitalist hates communism. But what they overlook is that the average Russian mother and father simply want to feed their children. They are not interested in politics. However, when those who have both wealth and power become so greedy, and the peasant can’t feed his family, he becomes attracted to the ideas of communism and socialism. In other words, communism is created by the selfishness and greed of the wealthy.
You know I would say that hyper Cronin capitalism can in fact lead to things like socialism when the vast majority of the pop of the populace is in poverty while the majority of the wealth is owned by a mere few.
The point was not to say that the poor do not matter because in fact in Catholic teaching helping the poor and doing the corporal works of Mercy are an essential component of the Gospel.
What was meant is that when Christianity when a heretical sect becomes disillusioned with the hyper spiritual divisions of conservative heretical sects,
They will need jerk into the extreme of only caring about the corporal works of Mercy.
The Catholic balances both spiritual and corporal.
But when all you care about is the corporal works of Mercy in a heavenly sense, once that is stripped away then you are only concerned about the corporal works of Mercy without god, and that is what is bad about socialism or communism
Hi Spauline! Your words are not easy for me to follow, although I think you are saying good things.
Is there a law that says that a socialist or a communist cannot believe in God, and desire to serve Him by implementing a social system in which everyone can have their basic needs met?
All this hatred of socialism and communism is spread, through the media and through so-called educational systems under the direction to the greedy captitalist. This is called hegemony, control of the public mind. There would be no socialists or communists if the wealthy were not so greedy. In this way the super rich are the creators of socialism and communism.
When people really accept Jesus within their hearts, they begin to understand that we are all one family, and that no one should be hungry, in need of clothing, education, medical attention, etc. Socialism and communism only germinate within the public mind when the hearts of the very wealthy are devoid of everything that Jesus is teaching.
It is very difficult for the average person to be godly, to think of God, when he can’t take care of his family. Then he beings to entertain thoughts of socialism, etc.
This is a messy topic.
I’d imagine the younger generations were indoctrinated with more buzzwords and phrases correlated to the topics of communism and capitalism. It seems younger generations just parrot the buzzwords and phrases they were taught in school.
Indoctrinated people do not consider any viewpoint except the one they were taught. They were taught to terminate conversations against anyone that disagrees. (That’s a trait of communist indoctrination) they lack critical thinking skills altogether.
So this is a messy topic.
You can almost put an age restriction on the discussion like, don’t reply unless your 45 years or older because that’s about when the indoctrination started…?
Thank you for clarifying
There ain’t no communists. No one is born communist. No one even thinks of communism. But then, something happens. Some people are so wealthy with slaves and servants, and the best of everything. And other people can’t feed their families. Then communism gets born. Therefore who created communists? I’ll tell you. They wealthy, greedy, who never have enough, and don’t care about the man in the street. They are the ones who create communism. And they teach us all to hate communists, so they can go on hoarding their wealth and keep on exploiting the people of the earth. And some of them claim to be Christians.
Well I agree with you on that and that is what gives birth to liberal Christianity which seeks to help the poor people and to encourage the filthy Rich give up their ways. But they do so many times with joyful and enthusiasm that Jesus will help them by love to do this.
But when the world starts to forget Jesus and to think that they can solve The world’s problems completely without god, it is then that liberal Christianity digresses to Communism in my humble opinion
Thank you Spauline, for being open-minded, and willing to consider my point of view.
If we really think about it clearly, we can understand that the social values that Jesus taught, to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, and the communist values that state that every man, woman and child must have their basic needs met…these values are 100% in agreement. In other words, the word “communism” is simply a dirty word with which the wealthy can smear people who want to see everyone’s needs met. Even there is one story in the Bible wherein Jesus told the wealthy man to give away his wealth to the poor and to follow him. But the man could not do it…because his temporal wealth was more important to him than his eternal soul.
At the same time I agree with you whole-heartedly, that when we try to solve the world’s problems without putting God in the center of our endeavors and our decisions…we end up building the Tower of Babel.
Now the world is on the verge of WW 3. A big chess board, with everyone’s missles pointed and ready to launch. Because when we don’t put God in the center of our lives, that’s when Satin steps in, and gives everyone the conviction that their personal cause is justified. Then we all fight, kill, and all the horrific events that go on in times of war.
Therefore every country requires to have spiritual guidance. The king or prime minister must be there, as an executive head…to implement measures and to protect. But without a spiritual guide, whose heart is very close to God, the king or president, or prime minister becomes invovled in his own egotistic struggle with other leaders. In this way they become the puppets of Satin.
This is where the pope has to step in. That is his duty. It is good that he gives spiritual encouragement to the masses. But if he gave spiritual guidance to the leaders, the masses would automatically be uplifted and saved. Therefore the separation of church and state is a formula for disaster. Even if the leaders refuse to follow the advice of the Pope, he can tell the religious masses, “Don’t participate in this war!”, and they would obey, and they would demonstrate and put pressure on the leaders. So, spiritual leaders have great power. And with power comes responsibility. A real Pope can stop wars. He is supposed to be God’s messenger to us here on earth. He has authority. He has world-wide power. He has responsibility. We are not yet in heaven. We are here on planet earth. His job is to keep us on track. Jesus turned over a few tables. Now it is the Pope’s turn to represent Jesus.
Yes, Spauline…I like your perspective.
Today there is Christianity in Russia. It is supported by the government. But sometimes, the church and the government are simply mutually supportive. In other words, the government supports the church that tells its members to support the government. It’s a business deal. Then the church has its hands tied. These things go on. Even when Jesus was walking on this earth…only 12 individuals left everything behind and walked with him. Only 12! And one of them… Not many of us are really ready to follow Jesus. We want to have our cake and eat it. We want the best of both worlds. Jesus said that it just doesn’t work that way. He told the working men, the fishing men, to drop it all, and follow him. but they couldn’t. Face to face with Jesus, and they couldn’t embrace what he wished to share with us. We’re so comfortable in our material situations, nice home, nice car, nice bank balance, nice clothing…we’re casting our nets trying to catch a bigger fish…and calling ourselves Christians.
Dear Peter thank you so much for your response
I think it is very good and I agree with it
you are very wise.
From what I understand from EWTN research, a great number of mystics that are approved
the the world is going to experience the consequences of its errors in the chastisement and be restored to the Catholic Gospel for the age of Our Ladies peace.
Only after that peace will w the Great apostasy come in the world and it end.
“From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” was a principle of communism and seems to be how things were done in the early Christian church. However, Karl Marx called religion the opiate of the people, and the communists outlawed religion and churches or suppressed them as much as they could. And as a form of government, communism turned into a way of grabbing wealth and power more than a mode of equitable distribution. If you read The Brothers Karamazov and The Gulag Archipelago, they are about the same country, and you can see that in some ways not much changed under communism, and in some ways things were much worse. Christians have not always lived up to their founding principles either, as we all know.
