Are tattoos on women a mortal sin?

Where to start? You don’t get to determine what is the unforgivable sin, the Church has already determined that. No one pushed women to get tattoos; those that have them decided they wanted one. They like them it doesn’t matter what you think.

That you think ink on skin is not mitigated by confession shows your understanding of sin, forgiveness, repentance is lacking.

Your reaction to tattoos on women makes me think you are trolling. Go be scrupulous about your own body.

The devil! We can personify our own iniquity as some being who is outside of us. But all of us are filled with degrees of pride, selfishness, anger, judgements on others, forgetfulness of God’s presence, etc., etc. Consider the state of the world, not only today, but the history of this planet, as far back as our records go. It is the history of imperialism, exploitation of other nations, their resources, slave markets, genocide (even by the Catholic Church against the Cathars during the “inquisition”, burning them alive). So-called “Satin” cannot approach a soul whose heart is cleaving to God. But when we lapse, in walks “Satin”. It’s all about not being able to serve both God and Mammon. These forms of service are mutually exclusive. There’s no middle ground. If we’re no moving forward, we’re sliding backward.

This is the common ground of all of this in this world…that we are sinfully inclined. Otherwise why would God have to send His Son to point us in a different direction? And what do we do when he comes among us? What did we do? What we did is told on the altar of every Catholic Church.

We are against idol worship. But don’t Catholics bow before the statue of Jesus on the cross when they enter the church? Isn’t it true that so many who wear the cross, as religious necklace, kiss the cross? I find no fault with this.

I have looked up the words “mortal sin”. From my point of view, the tattoo in itself is not such a serious thing. Anyone can decorate their body as they please, if they feel that it is also pleasing to Jesus. But the problem arises when bodily decorations stimulate men to have sexual desires, and to lust after the bodies of women. When the women of the time of Jesus appeared in public, did they display their bodily tattoos, or did they cover their bodies so that they would not attract the minds of men? Are the fashions advertised in today’s marketplace, advancement of civilization, or are they simply degraded from the values of the time of Jesus? It is understood by social scientists, that most people are followers, and lack personal discretion. E.g., if Trump arrayed in public in a bathing suit, millions of Americans would begin walking around in bathing suites. People are followers……but they don’t know who to follow. Catholics are followers of Jesus, and the standards that he would endorse. If Jesus appeared in our local church today, would women attend the service in jeans that were torn at the knees, so tight that every curve of the body was revealed, and with tattoos showing their uncovered shoulders? Modesty is a means for protecting people against their carnal desires. Why would anyone woman object, unless it was their desire to attract the minds of men in public places, thereby inducing them to desire to be engaged in mortal sin? Would Jesus approve of such a lack of modesty?

I occurs to me to ask, without a challenging spirit…….why do you label yourself as “bruised”? have people bruised you physically and/or emotionally?

Perhaps just a momentary laps, a human error, even if that at all, not judging just generalizing, easy to remedy, I believe, OMNILogically.

Tattoos are not unforgivable sins, easy confession, penance work proven sorrow not to do again, easy re-sanctification, from the words of Absolution, forgiven for all, not a problem, Logically, I believe.

I ran it through the OMNILogicalGod “RI” real intelligence engine pattern, same as “What would Jesus do in all cases of the fulfilled faith and morality of the Christ” and Jesus will allow forgiveness, 100 % confidence, here, I believe, through the OMNILogical formulas are able to re-sanctify through both natures for this sin, if Tattoos are even a sin, God of Justice, Jesus probably running it by Mom and Dad, Hey, Parents we have Tattooed Disciple, a Good Good person, no other sins, a family woman or man for the same matter, and of God forever singing Our praises, here can we let them back in the Family with their firm commitment of ammendment? She/ He will have all new sanctified immortal immacullate flesh from the Baprtzied New Eve Body. Sure, Jesus, and Jesus is judge and can fix for both natures Spirit and life, I believe, and the sin is not unforgivable and easy to repair by proper conscience examination and work proven sorrow forgiven, trying not for ever now on no more tattoos causing questions about salvation becoming again in all, One God, as all whom confess with a firm commitment of amendment, as all sins even if mortal, forgiven, OMNILogically, believe.

Tattoos on a female body are self desecration and much worse than that. It’s the worst thing a female can do to permanently damage her natural appearance. In doing so, she says she basically hates men, and if she has kids she would hate her children too.

When a woman desecrates her body with tattoos I think it’s almost on par with murder. The mere sight of a tattooed woman is disgraceful for the eyes of man.

Another thing is the tattoo “artist” is a devil to deceive women.

And it’s just been the past 20 or so years. Women never got tattoos until like 20 years ago it became trendy. But think of how much that dwindles the pool of marriageable (non tattooed) women. If you look around more than half of young women now have more tattoos than drunken sailors. And they’re walking around in trashy clothes

And the tattoo “artist” adds more insult upon injury by tattooing them with completely stupid art like a tacos and windmills and feminist symbols, are you kidding me? They are not artists. They’re more like graffiti “artists” who tag public and private property with vandalism.

As a Catholic myself I find tattoos on women to be appalling. I mean, for any of you defending this as “art” you’ve got to be kidding me

notice how women at mass cover up their tattoos during mass because THEY KNOW tattoos are bad news. The women know they made an irreversible mistake and they know it is a sin that cannot be corrected.

New American Bible

Leviticus 19:28 - Do not lacerate your bodies for the dead, and do not tattoo yourselves. I am the LORD.

Peace to all,

From OMNILogicalGod Engine Power Resolution Robot verifier, spirit and life Power outputs match undefiled again, trusted and verified from the Moses Seat: I believe. Even Moses agrees, Tattoos forgivable, I believe, with 100% confidence intervals.

Logical Two Nature Mind of God

And we all know no one is Judging here or proselytizing, and only in generalization do we share and believe, I believe.

To me Management Science was a tough course, to me.

Tattoos are not the mortal, unforgivness to me, is, I believe.

Unforgivness power manifests becoming a choice to hold onto negative emotions and thoughts related to a perceived wrong, rather than offering forgiveness. This can manifest as impacting spiritual well-being, OMNILogically, I believe.

Tattoos? no problem, with error correction forgiven, re-Sanctification through both natures, I believe.

What would Jesus do? We already know, I believe, through all cases, OMNILogically.

Sometime later through no fault of our own we become to know from The New Adam’s Christ’s Holy Spirt Family through The New Eve’sChrist’s Immaculate Flesh, two Gods become Oen Body, in all cases, I believe.

Repent and be saved from Sacrifice through Penance forgiven, from the Words of Absolution and in Communion with Him Confirmed in the Will of The Father, no more tattoos, OK, Re-Sanctified for both natures becoming again One Family, I believe.

Peace always,

Stephen

It’s from a verse in Scripture. You can look that up and how it’s a prophecy.

Actually we are all bruised, because we live outside of the Garden of Eden. We have to toil very hard, and we can’t keep anything that we acquire. When old age and death comes, we have to leave everything behind. So much hard work……and then all finished. One has to question, if God is in heaven surrounded by the heavenly hosts of angels who are engaged in His glorification, why are we born here in the realm of birth and death. Why are we afflicted, from the time we are born until we die, with self-centered desires that put individuals, and even countries in conflict. The answer is given in different scriptures: We are fallen angels. The garden of Eden is the spiritual world. And we have been evicted, because we have succumbed to the temptation of wanting to enjoy, to seek our satisfaction, in separation from God. Therefore we take birth in the material realm……….the realm where everyone is bruised again and again. In this way, humility can gradually dawn, so that we can begin to hear the voice of God’s son, who says, “Those who have ears (for what I am saying) let them hear.” Otherwise, why would god place us in such a predicament? It is only for our redemption. We live in the world of bruised reeds.

And what is this? :slightly_smiling_face: ^^

Look how many replies we had before this little verse came up?

The answer is in the good book!

Jacques,
re: “And what is this? :slightly_smiling_face: ^^”

It’s a verse from the Catholic New American Bible.

re: “Look how many replies we had before this little verse came up?”

To answer your question, It looks like there were 25 previous replies.

re: “The answer is in the good book!”

The answer to what? And to what book are you referring?

Sometimes one wonders is it a sin not seeing the Trinity as a holy family and is it a sin not seeing the mother of God pre-existing in the Trinity family together with the father and the son?

And we are not judging or proselytizing only in generalization do we ask?

It’s the year 2025. Wake up. Tattoos on females is a mortal sin in my book! They’re awful. it’s just as bad as murder

Let me ask you this: Why do women all hide their tattoos at mass???

Answer: because they know they made a massive mistake. It’s irreparable and unforgivable.

It’s child abuse too. Imagine opening your eyes and the first thing you see is a desecrated mother full of graffiti and foolish images of tacos and stupid shapes branded onto her. It’s child abuse

Peace to all,

We are gonna get a new flesh body incorruptibly spirit powered immortal and immaculate and undefiled infallibly transfigured all in One Family,. I believe.

Peace always,
Stephen

Well, that’s your opinion and nothing more. If it’s not Catholic teaching, and it isn’t, it doesn’t matter.

I’m sure your views are in line with catholic “teaching”. That is completely unimportant. I form my opinions based on reason and common sense. Not catholic teaching. An important distinction. The main reason I left the church was because of the incompatability of these two.

The Catholic Church teaches that both Faith and Reason are compatible, not opposed to one another. But, if one’s reason opposes what is ordered to God, then it opposes that which is true, good, and beautiful.

St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, have explored the relationship between faith and reason, highlighting their harmony and mutual dependence.

In “Confessions” and “City of God,” Augustine emphasized faith as a prerequisite for understanding.

Aquinas, in his “Summa Theologica” and other writings, saw faith and reason as distinct but complementary paths to truth. He saw that reason plays a role in understanding revealed truths, as well as natural law (which is ordered to God’s plan for creation).

God’s ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Reason is what separates us from other creatures. The Bible talks a lot about wisdom. Wisdom is when reason is ordered to God. Proverbs 1:7 says that “reverence, awe, and respect towards God is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Hope this clarifies what Catholic Christians actually believe in regards to faith, reason, and wisdom, in case there was any confusion.

Peace to all,

So true, Cade_One, and why I love logic, I believe.

True, Fatihfully we believe, using reason and wisdom, instruction, but only OMNILogically will we be able to understand. “The Mind of God,” I believe..
