What happens to babies when not baptisted and die

I read on catholic365 an interesting article. Where do babies go if they die prior to being Baptisted. The article stated they are held in limbo. Is that still true in todays world? Being that they still have original sin.
Thanks

The truth is that we do not know. Limbo was a hypothesis put forth in the middle ages, but has fallen out of favor with modern theologians. There simply is no concrete Church teaching on this issue.

I believe that God established baptism to bring people into His kingdom, not as a barrier to keep them out. If it were the only way for God to wash away sin, then what about the righteous people who lived before Christ’s time? Maybe even St. Joseph wasn’t baptized, but we believe that he’s in heaven.
