This is a little thing I created for my own amusement.
Why not instead make a manga about the life of Takashi Nagai as a boy? He actually didn’t experience a conversion until adulthood, but it could be loosely based on his life (a slice of life ; ) It could also star Satoko Kitahara as a girl. She also experienced a conversion in adulthood. I say replace Luce with these Catholic saints.
Saint Maximilian Kolbe spent a year in Japan and there is Japanese fan-fiction written about him. They could even play off of these stories. Two of these historical fiction books have been translated into English. I own one written in Japanese, but it is more of a conversation peace, since I can’t read the language. I also own a Bible in Japanese.
My daughter loves anime and she is learning Japanese for our trip there after she graduates.
But, I wanted to get everyone opinion on this plan to make Luce the official mascot of the Holy Year 2025.
