I’ll try to make this brief, because after reflecting for a while, I have found that I’ve turned this community into a “debate forum.”
My goal truly is to learn. The thing of it is, I believe in a God, just not the same God Catholic’s believe in. But, I would rather not be the root cause of splitting up this community. I’ve been told time and time again that this is what Catholic’s believe, because I’m in a Catholic forum. And so, because I’m not Catholic, I think I will just stay silent and read.
As much as I have a bit of beef with the Church, it’s not respectful of the members here to constantly have to be at odds with their own faith. I’m sure most of you get plenty of backlash in your own hometown without it having to follow you here. People here shouldn’t feel on edge and should be able to talk openly and freely, because this is CatholicTalk.
My DM’s will still be open, if anyone would care to message me. I might pop-in every once in a while to see what’s going on, but I don’t think I’ll be posting for a while. Thank you all for your time.
