I know it is none of my business, but…

So you believe an actor, Mr Washington and disbelieve Trump who has actually run the United States of America… didn’t receive a paycheck for it. I mean, you are unreal… You sound like a typical liberal

I never claimed you called me a name. You called the Democrats names. This does not persuade me to vote for your candidate.

Again, I am not a supporter of Kamala Harris, nor the Democrats. I know both Trump supporters and Kamala Harris supporters (if she will even be their nominee after the DNC Convention) claim that my vote does not count for the individuals I do support, but is a vote for their enemy (which is either voter suppression or voter fraud, as my vote counts for three people, my guy, their guy, and your guy ; ) But, in reality, my vote is a vote for NOTA (none of the above).

I am casting my vote for a Pro-Life Candidate. Dr. Ron Paul actually spent his life prior to politics delivering babies.

Do you believe that President is “the chosen one”? If two sports fans are Praying for their team to win the World Championships, is God not also on the side of the teams that didn’t make it to the Championships? Or is God only on your side and the side of the opposing Championship team.

Did you know that the Republican Party was once a third Party? And that they teamed up with other Parties that opposed slavery.

Going back to the topic of Pro-Life candidates, Randall Terry (the Constitution Party Presidential Candidate) actually adopted a baby of a woman who was about to enter until she saw him standing there as a witness to her! He is probably the most Pro-Life candidate who may be on your ballot. Instead of J.D. Vance, maybe Trump should have offered the VP slot to Terry. Just like the Democrats should offer the VP pick to RFK Jr. Politically speaking, this would be strategy for either Party.

I’ll take one at a time. Do you not think that the Left-wing media reports the news in such a way to sway their viewers politically? Do you believe that the Right-wing media reports the news in a way not to sway you?

This is a poll (or a statistic), not a fact. I have been in many polls where the pollsters do not ask the right questions. Like you, I like a good conspiracy theory and there are more theories than just these two. It does not mean that I believe them, but my point is that if asked about one vs. what the media says is fact, does not mean that one or the other is true just because a majority polled believes it, nor does it mean either is true or that both can’t be true.

Hate to break it to you, but both Democrats & Republicans caused this inflation. It was not just the Democrats who spent beyond their means by $35 Trillion! President Trump signed every massive spending bill that crossed his desk. And Democrats AND Republicans in Congress created the spending that these past & present Presidents signed off on. Prior to the creation of the Federal Reserve none of this was possible.

I will recommend you read a couple of these books:

  1. “Basic Economics” by the great Thomas Sowell
  2. “What has Government done to our Money” by Murray Rothbard
  3. “Economic Policy” by Rothbard
  4. “End the Fed” by Dr. Ron Paul
  5. “How Inflation Destroys Civilization” by Hülsmann

This is fake news. I believe in objective truth. The fact is that I act like propaganda does exist (all you have to do is look at the response to Covid to know that this is true). Just because your news says it is “fair & balanced” or “the most trusted name in news” does not mean that it is.

And if you get your news from an independent source, often these individuals are getting their information from the mainstream and not doing actual investigating. Most independent news outlets do not have the big funding to actually investigate. And by the time any news organization does investigate, it is old news.

I am not your enemy. I do not want to tell you whom you must vote for. Nor do I want to use government force to make you believe as I believe (even though you and I probably agree on most things when it comes to faith & morality).

Feel free to ask me what I really believe and I am happy to share. You do not have to assume what it is I believe.

Christ’s peace be with you!

Yes.

No : )

I did not intend for this topic to become so political. It was more for fun.

But, to make my point about how voting for bad politicians, just because they have an “R” or a “D” by their name, is part of the problem.

This is our Ohio, “Republican” Governor who locked us in our homes for 2 years, made us cover our mouths, shut down our Churches, pushed the inadequately-tested messenger RNA, is not 2A, and is only pro-life when he wants your vote.

Many Democrats think he’s great, most Republicans voted for him (something about “lesser of two evils”).

The only way to hold elected politicians accountable is for them to lose.

At least in Virginia I wasn’t locked into my home. I was free to go to work till that became remote, go shopping, go to the doctor, even go to the park. Those of us who prayed weekly near an abortion clinic never stopped going. And even though regular church services were suspended, my bride and I had a church wedding in July 2020.

That is Awesome! Your Governor did the right thing in my opinion.

Being a Minnesota native, I apologize for Tim Walz. He has been a disaster for our state, and I don’t wish him on the rest of the country…although that would get him out of our hair!

Well, to that extent, yes, but when indoor public gatherings such as church services were suspended, liquor stores and abortion clinics stayed open as nesessites.>:(

Always despised DeWine, but seeing this post makes my eyes want to bleed.

You make zero sense. Voting for Ron Paul is not going to do a thing. He isn’t even running. You are illogical. You act like we have more than 2 candidates or choices…

yeh, Walz is great! He had a hot line for people (during covid) to report their neighbors or “friends” who didn’t mask up. Hiel!

He watched Minneapolis burn and did nothing.

He lied about what rank he was in the army.

TRUMP 2024!

Thank you for showing me the error of my ways, that voting for Ron Paul (a #NOTA vote) is a waste. You have convinced me to vote for Kamala who will “do more” than even voting for Trump will ; )

I do not want politicians to “do more.” I want politicians to do less.

Summary

If a vote is valued by how likely one is to win, then why have elections at all. Just give it to the one who is most likely to win. And I disagree with you that there will only be two options on your ballot in November. Care to put money on it?

I know you don’t mean literally two options. But, what you are not understand is that I do not vote for the “lesser of two evils.” I am a minarchist. I believe government hast three purposes: to protect life, liberty, and private property (in this order). Anything more than this is over-reach and not to mention authoritarian. And I’m not really voting for Kamala : )

I’m sorry to be graphic here but trump is not the poster child for morality and Christian values. He refused lubricant for his turn with an apparatus that is considered sodomy! Paying porn actresses for their services and being an openly disrespectful person who makes actual racists remarks ? Lies, thousands of times. Put brown children in cages in the desert heat and separated parents and children? I am a contributor to a political website and I fact check my facts 2-3 times. And the editorial board take 72 hours to do their own fact checking. Please remember that facts don’t lie, people do!

Politics is just another way to divide people. Christ came to unify people, not to divide them!

And it’s in the constitution and part of the first amendment!

I agree a hundred percent with this statement, which is why I did not vote for Donald John Trump in 2016, 2020, nor in 2024.

Not even sure what this means, nor do I think I want to know.

If the allegations by Stormy Daniels (that is what you are referring to?) are true, then yes, that is not upright.

As far as racist remarks he has made, not nearly as racist as some of the things uttered by President Biden (whom you give a pass). You can argue that he misspoke, but he misspoke a—lot. And not to mention, Joseph Biden also gave the eulogy for a former Klansman (Senator Robert Byrd). I’ve never voted for President Trump, but I also did not vote for President Biden either.

Umm. Politicians are liars and the few that tell the truth are unpopular (Ron Paul, Thomas Massie, Justin Amash, to name a few).

Do you know who else did this? President Obama (whom you also give a pass). And not only that, but also drone-bombed “brown people” too.

I would challenge you to call out all politicians and not cherry-pick those you don’t like.

Both President Bill Clinton and President Trump (as well as RFK Jr.) have flown on Epstein’s plane. All three of these men have denied ever being on Epstein’s Island. Do we take them at their word? I do not. It is possible that one or two of these men did not go to the Island, but the very fact that they were on his plane is problematic.

This is concerning. Who facts-checks the fact-checkers? And do they fact-check individuals they idolize as much as they do those they want to demonize?

The trick is this, a fact-checking site will say that an individual they do not like is “liar-liar-pants-on-fire” while claiming a lie by and individual they do like is “partially true” and then they go into great detail of why what this person has said is not technically false.

PolitiFact (founded by Bill Adair and top funded by The Poynter Institute, Democracy Fund, The Craig Newmark Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Knight Foundation, and others) claimed that Republicans lied 55% of their checking and found Democrats only lied 31% of their checking. A third-party study done in 2013 by The Center for Media and Public Affairs (which we should look into their political bent and who funds them as well) found that it was closer to 32% Republican and only 11% of the time Democrats were said to have been labeled either “false” or “pants on fire.”

So, we are either to believe that Republicans lie more than Democrats or perhaps that there is a slant to how often one is fact-checked over another or how the conclusion is presented.

Factcheck .org (co-founded by Brooks Jackson and Kathleen Jamieson and funded by APPC, Annenberg Foundation, Flora Family Foundation, and individual donors, but I can’t find who have made the minimum allowable donation amount the most times) is not much better. In one of the 2020 Presidential Debates (of which Libertarians were not invited to participate, because the Women League of Voters is no longer in charge of the National Debates), 79.3% of the fact checks were done on Donald Trump, while only 20.7% were done on Joe Biden’s statements. And of these, 55.33% of Trump’s statement were deemed to be false vs. only 23.4% of Biden’s. So again, this could mean that Trump just lies more than Biden or simply talks more than Biden (which I believe is a contributing factor), but let’s say this was not the case. Let’s say the Democrats ran a more charismatic candidate, would this result in the opposite results? I would bet not, which is part of the problem of so-called “fact-checking.”

Snopes (founded by David & Barbara Mikkelso who is/was a Canadian citizen and the site is funded by consumer donations) has similar results as PolitiFact 70% of the time. But, Snopes was not founded as a political fact-checking site. It originally focused on urban legends and e-mail scams.

So, if you are a journalist, who cares about the facts and finding the truth (no matter who it involves) and not about swaying public opinion, then I support you.

We are living in an age where the gate-keepers and propagandists are losing the trust of individuals. It is why there is such a split in not just the Republican Party, but also in the Democratic and Libertarian Parties as well. Many just want the truth. We are tired of being lied to and manipulated. But that’s politics isn’t it.
