Genesis 37:9-11 Joseph’s Dream

Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?” His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

-

This was Joseph’s second prophetic dream. Whereas the first one had only his brothers bowing down to him, the second has his mother and father as well. However, the first time I read this I realized a discrepancy. It says that his 11 brothers as well as mother and brother will bow down to him. But how can this be? A chapter or two earlier it clearly states that Joseph’s mother died in childbirth giving birth to Benjamin (his younger brother). How can they simultaneously bow down to him if they aren’t all alive at the same time? The problem gets worse as his father, Jacob, replies to him as if his mother is still alive.

I recall reading a quote by Origen that calls on the reader to look for a deeper meaning when faced with a seeming contradiction … I wonder if this is one of those moments?

In the story of Abraham sacrificing his son Isaac, the angel repeatedly call hims, “His only begotten son.” (However, we know that’s not literally true since he has an older son named Ishmael). But when we read it with the lens of Christ, we can easily see how this is foreshadowing Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.

Or….you could say what you mean and mean what you say, because anything else is from who?…..

(Note: Just so we’re clear, I’m referring to Origen here….not you….)

Origen was a very interesting person. A deep thinker but also a bit of a mystic. He read the Bible very allegorically, sometimes in ways that would certainly shock modern readers (especially biblical literalists).

Here is one of the quotes I was referring too:

“Now all this, as we have remarked, was done by the Holy Spirit so that when we find that events lying on the surface can be neither true nor useful, we may be led to investigate the truth that is more deeply concealed and to a meaning worthy of God in the Scriptures, which we believe to be inspired by him.” -Origen

Some might call this a “cop-out”. A way of skirting past an uncomfortable issue when faced with difficulties in the text.

But I think there is some truth to what he is saying. When a text is hard to understand (even seemingly contradictory) it forces the reader to no longer just play a passive role in reading … but rather, you are forced to dig deep, and truly engage with the text. And when you are flexing those muscles (mind and soul) you can mine the source for its hidden treasure, and thus truly appreciate it when you acquire it.

  • Threefold Interpretation: He famously categorized the meaning of Scripture into three levels corresponding to the human person:
    1. The Body: The literal, historical sense for the “simple” believer.
    2. The Soul: The moral or ethical application.
    3. The Spirit: The deepest, spiritual, or “gnostic” meaning that reveals mysteries about Christ and the divine plan.

Pope Leo: Br. Lawrence teaches us joy of living each day in God’s presence

Pope Leo XIV writes an introduction to “The Practice of the Presence of God,” a book by Carmelite Brother Lawrence, in a new edition released by the Vatican Publishing House (LEV). Written by a humble French religious in the 1600s, the book marked the spiritual life of Fr. Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo

It is what Saint Paul already wrote to the faithful of Philippi: “Have in you the same sentiments as Christ Jesus” (Phil 2:5). Therefore, it is not only our attitudes and behaviors that must be conformed to God, but precisely our sentiments—our very way of feeling. In this interiority we find His presence, the loving and burning presence of God, so “other” and yet familiar to our heart. As Saint Augustine writes, “the new man will sing the new song” (Sermons 34,1).

The experience of union with God, described in Brother Lawrence’s pages as a personal relationship made of encounters and conversations, of concealments and surprises, of trusting and total abandonment, calls to mind the experiences of the great mystics—first among them Teresa of Ávila, who had also testified to this familiarity with the Lord to the point of speaking of a “God of the pots and pans.” However, it indicates a path accessible to all, precisely because it is simple and everyday.

Like many mystics, Brother Lawrence also speaks with great humility but also with humor, because he knows well that every earthly thing, even the most grand—and even dramatic—is a very small thing before the infinite love of the Lord. Thus, he can say ironically that God “deceived” him, because he, having entered the monastery perhaps a little presumptuously in order to sacrifice himself and harshly expiate the sins of his youth, found there instead a life full of joy.

Peace to all,

Logically Jesus and Mary are Gods preexisting in undefiled intelligence logic proving Them Gods from preexistence, non-created being and personal God in being from the Holy Spirit Family One God in being and are the two “New Trees,” becoming “One New Fruit” Baptized becoming One Body in the Christ for all mankind from Sacrifice through Penance forgiven becoming again for all creation in One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.

OMNILogically, For from him and through her and for him are all things. In The Holy Spirit Family One God in being be the glory forever! Amen.

From the logical formulas through the Wondrous Mysteries of the Catholic Faith we become again for all creation in One Holy Spirit Family One God in being, OMNILogically.

Logically God created two trees, failed, spirit and life becoming again in all through the two new “Fruits” from the two new trees, from the tree of the incorruptible spirit through the tree of the immortal immaculate life becoming “One Tree” from One “New Fruit” through One Two Nature Christ becoming in One Body becoming again One Family.

God of Justice, Jesus, Eternal Authority of Spirit is Virgin Born in the New Adam through Mary from the Immaculate Conception, God of Mercy from the Transformed Immaculate Flesh becoming immortality in all through the New Eve becoming the Body of Christ in all mankind.

“Surely you will never die,” is both the truth and a lie in the same line. The Devil is the trickster, and what a liar and becomes transformed into the image of the Father of Lies, a snake, I believe, choice is the trickster, I believe giving us the failed spirit choice of “Fruit” to love or love not causing loss of the “Fruit” to live mortally failed forever through the mortal flesh. Both Adam and Eve give up their own mortal life for the love of the other, becoming again fulfilled through His Passion.

But Jesus fulfills both natures Arked to Earth from the Power fo the Holy Spirit Family One God in being through the New Covenant for the flesh with choice becoming again loving only and loving with only the most love manifested eternally and incorruptibly from The Holy Spirit Family incorruption in The New Adam though immaculate flesh immortality from The New Eve becoming Baptized in One Two Nature Unfailing Flesh Undefiled Spirit and Life Body for the Christ in all mankind through two natures fulfilled from The New Adam and New Eve Confirmed natures from Sacrifice through Penance from the Priests Words of Absolution in Confession becoming forgiven and in Communion with Him becoming again in all creation One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.

Jesus said, “What is it to you if he remain alive until I return, You must follow me.”

We will never die of The Spirit becoming through the flesh becoming again through both natures, One God in being a Family again.

Hidden is the logical truth becoming again from both natures in One Holy Family, I believe.

The Life “Fruit” is from the tree of Life, Eve. The Spirit “Fruit” is from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, Adam.

Here is the example from The Vatican document, Mater Populi Fidelis , issued by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DFF) with the approval of Pope Leo XIV, stresses that Jesus alone provides the means to redemption, and Mary herself must be recognized as His disciple. The document states:

Given the necessity of explaining Mary’s subordinate role to Christ in the work of Redemption, it would not be appropriate to use the title “Co-redemptrix” to define Mary’s cooperation. This title risks obscuring Christ’s unique salvific mediation and can therefore create confusion and an imbalance in the harmony of the truths of the Christian faith, for “there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

The pope situates Brother Lawrence’s message in the context of today’s world. The writings of this Carmelite, who lived with luminous faith through a century marked by conflicts and violence — “certainly no less violent than our own” — can, he affirms, “also be an inspiration and a help for the lives of us men and women of the third millennium.”

The writings of this Carmelite, who lived with luminous faith through a century marked by conflicts and violence — “certainly no less violent than our own” — can, he affirms, “also be an inspiration and a help for the lives of us men and women of the third millennium.”

What the Vatican can understand is the Logic of the Mind of God becoming again in all creation, One Family.

The Vatican states, “Mary’s incomparable greatness lies in what she has received and in her trusting readiness to allow herself to be overtaken by the Spirit. When we strive to attribute active roles to her that are parallel to those of Christ, we move away from the incomparable beauty that is uniquely hers.”

The Soul in blood and water birthed from conception becoming from the spirit through the flesh becoming One Body through the Christ in all mankind becoming from Spirit incorruption through immaculate immortality becoming glorified and transfigured becoming again in all One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.,

To me, rationally, logically and faithfully, Mary is the Christ together with Jesus the Christ, both Christs, One Flesh Christ and One Spirit Christ becoming One Body of Christ, “One Fruit.” One Sacrifice becoming again in all creation One God, One Holy Spirit Family One God in being, OMNILogicalGod.Com

The Christ’s work is through Mary for Jesus becoming the Christ in all mankind. We logically can see clearly that the Vatican does not properly understand The Christ becoming again in all creation One Holy Spirit Family One God in being. The Vatican also cannot see logically the Holy Spirit as The Family of God becoming again in all creation One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.

Logically the “New Fruit” is both trees fulfilled becoming from the incorruptible Spirit through the immaculately immortal life becoming in One Body in the Christ from Sacrifice through Penance from Confession in hearing the Words of Absolution becoming forgiven in all through both natures, spirit and life becoming again in all creation One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.

The “New Fruit” is the Host, transformation becoming immortality glorification becoming incorruption transfiguration becoming again through transformed immaculately immortal flesh from The Holy Spirit Family incorruption in One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.

Peace always,
Stephen
