Can thoughts and feelings be sinful

Well, I rarely ever go out anyways. I mean, I forgive them, they just haven’t moved on and because they haven’t moved on, it’s irritating. I honestly don’t wish any harm to come to them, but it would be nice if they’d learn to keep their opinions to themselves. I mean, the least they could do is pull me aside if they have a problem with me, but most people rather just bring up my past in front of everyone.

I’m not saying I’m too good for this town, or the people in this town are beneath me. All I ask is for some space. You can think I’m a terrible horrible person all you want, but if I’m out and about, just leave me alone. That’s all I want. I’m not asking for people to bow and worship the ground I walk on, I just want to be able to shop in peace LOL!

It’s ok, we live in a simulation. This is all temporary. One day I’ll transition from this dimension into a higher one, that’s the hope anyways.

It’s true to say that all sins start with thoughts. Keep your mind focused on Jesus and your thoughts will be on Jesus. I know this is easier said than done. Thoughts that are sins or thoughts about yourself when you’re only focused on yourself like pride. Vanity, jealousy doubt, fear, anger.. sin in itself is a selfish act to please selfish desires. I would say stay away from people who are selfish and only think for themselves. Make sure your motives from what you do lineup for what Jesus wants you to do. I would say pray as much as you can if it’s a thought that you can’t control and it comes in your head, then pray to God to get rid of it and to forgive you

You can sin in the mind. This is where sin begins. Those who would be keeping constant watch in discernment of their behaviour would be confessing sinful thoughts (venial, obviously).

The aim is to get to the point, where one thinks differently. A reach towards being pure of heart. A few stages before a Christian, in having put all their eggs in one basket (in order that they become a saint), might be living so virtuously that there isn’t any deliberation over options for doing what God would have them do.

I think it all depends on intent of thought. If we constantly name off every single “bad” thought we’ve had in the confessional, we will go crazy.

So, let’s look at feelings and thoughts of lust. These tend to come up when you’ve had problems with lustful temptation in the past. So, Satan is basically using it to tempt you. These thoughts can lead to sinful action that you may have had problems with in the past.

Now anger, if a thought makes you desire to be violent or to commit some kind of action; then I would consider it to be sinful. Anger and hatred are often linked. So, in terms of anger, if something/someone is making you so angry that you feel hatred towards it/them, then it’s probably sinful.

Basically, if a provoking thought gives you the desire to sin and you have full capabilities to sin. I think it may be best to seek a confessional. Or, if that thought only leads to more thoughts of committing sin. I understand that we can’t really control our thoughts, but if you choose to give into those thoughts (even if it stays in the mind), it may be sinful.

I think I explained that pretty poorly, but I hope it still makes sense. This one is somewhat tough.
