Bishop Daniel Thomas' New Document: ‘The Body Reveals the Person’

I love Bishop Thomas. He is often referred to as “The Smiling Bishop.”

I once wrote to him about this very topic, but never heard back from him. I was concerned about how far the culture had gone in regards to this issue and how if the Bishops embrace this ideology, there will be many theological issues that will arise because of it. For instance, could a woman who identifies as a male (or mutilates her body) become a Priest (the correct answer is no). If a Priest identifies as a cat, can he preside at Mass (meowing and pretending to have paws during the Consecration)? These examples sound ridiculous, but do they really, based on where the culture is headed and how far she has fallen?

I have not yet read this document, but plan to over the coming days.

“How can we respond to such a seemingly impossible situation?” he says. “The answer is surely not to water down Catholic teachings, which are meant to clarify and defend, in the light of faith, the truth about our engendered bodily life.”

Peace to all,

“This has become so painful,” Bishop Thomas said, referring to gender identity. “It’s my ultimate hope that this will be able to speak to hearts, minds, and souls.”

And Bishop Thomas told the Register that a father he spoke with before the document came out last month broke down in tears when he learned what the bishop was working on, explaining that his son was thinking about transitioning.

Some ask, " What is The Body?" OMNILogically, I believe The Body is two natures, Spirit and life in One Body becoming through The Christ in all mankind becoming again in all Creation One Family Body, I believe.

“In the light of faith, the truth about our engendered bodily life,” I believe OMNILogically to understand the Body is understanding The Christ in all mankind.

To me, rational understanding of the body is logical, I believe. From Adam and Eve, the flesh is mortal and the spirit is corrupt for all created souls creating the Body, blood and water birthed from Adam and Eve. From the Spirit creation is for the soul through the created flesh becoming One Body, logically. Through all generalizations, The Two Natures Spirit and Life becoming in One Body is created from the Power of The Divine Spirit through the created flesh for all in the created soul becoming One Body, from Adam and Eve, I believe.

Peace always,
Stephen
