Basic Instructions Before Leading Earth...not Leaving

While the acronym B.I.B.L.E. typically stands for “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth”, interpreting it as “Leading” Earth suggests a shift from preparing for the afterlife to active stewardship and leadership while still here.

Based on biblical principles associated with this concept, here are the basic instructions for “leading” on Earth:

  • Practice Proactive Stewardship: Instead of waiting to leave, focus on advancing God’s kingdom now. Treat the Earth and its inhabitants with the care of a loving steward, as seen in the theology of service.

  • Empower Others through Discipleship: True leadership involves recruiting and teaching others to follow the same path. The “Great Commission” is a call to lead by making disciples of all nations.

  • Embody the “Golden Rule”: Lead by treating others the way you want God to treat you. This involves prioritizing love, compassion, and the removal of judgment.

  • Establish Ethical Foundations: Follow foundational moral laws, such as the Ten Commandments, to provide a stable example for others to follow.

  • Seek Wisdom Daily: Use the Bible as a “blueprint” or “map” for practical life management, including dating, marriage, and financial stewardship.

  • Lead with Humility: Recognize that leadership comes from being a “servant of all”. True power is found in relying on God’s authority rather than your own.

Hello dear MogiiOG,

First of all, welcome to the forums! Here you can have good discussions and you’re not pressured into thinking like everyone else. I know I come on here and am an ex-Catholic, but I try to have civil discourse instead of calling someone a name or insult someone else. My hope is that others follow suit.

Thank you for reading my post as to why I’m here. For others who would like to read it, cause I finally finished it, you can read it here: What I Am Compared to What I Am Not

And I like that view of The Bible….that’s actually a very beautiful way of looking at it.

Welcome! Thank you for sharing.
