Have Catholics forgotten?
An 8-hour old account dropping a provocative thread?
Just spam. Nothing to see here, guys.
I take back what I said earlier about you not asking questions. You have asked a question, rhetorical from your point-of-view, but a question.
The True Catholic- hiding from everything Biblical…
I pray 150 Psalms per week in the Divine Office and read Scripture in the lessons and chapters during the Hours, including commentaries at Matins. It doesn’t get much more Biblical than that.
@DLW showed you in the Bible the Holy Trinity, but you replied with memes. Clearly, you belong to an organized group who create Memes that support their/your ideology. I will wait to see your answer to my question about where you deconstructed to, so that I can get a better understanding of where you are coming from.
I don’t see it!
“Deconstructed?”
You mean “Eyes Opened”?
Deconstructionism is very popular right now. Many Christian Musicians, Authors, and Pastors are deconstructing, which simply means that they are looking at what they’ve been taught and then abandoning it for something else. Often they will try to evangelize their new-found something to those who hold their former beliefs.
For some they deconstruct to their political views (LGBTQA.i.+ is a big one). For others it might be to Anti-theism (because it is not enough to just be agnostic).
For you, I believe you have deconstructed to Nontrinitarianism, but what I am unsure of is whether you have fallen to a denomination which teaches this, or an online community that teaches this, or if you are a “just me and my Bible” Christian (self-taught and make all your memes yourself indecently).
Do you go to Church? Do you have a Wife and Children? Or are you all alone? Why does this matter? There was a famous Christian Author who wrote books about Christian dating and Marriage. He deconstructed after he and his Wife were getting Divorced. There are countless Christian Recording Artist who deconstructed after wrestling with their sęxual identity. Has something happened in your life that has caused you to view the world with slanted glasses.
It is good to question things with boldness. This is how we are either strengthened or come to different conclusions, which are good when they lead to the truth. But, when they lead us to our own selfish desires, this is when it is not good.
In your case, it is a little different than someone who simply wants to justify living a certain lifestyle or someone who feels like a fraud, because they promoted something for so long, only to fail at the very thing they were seen to be an expert in or that they had made their identity.
I think most deconstructionists are struggling with this, identity. Who am I? What do I believe? Does what I believe prevent me from being who I want to be? It [r]evolves around this lens of self. But, in your case, you are questioning, Who is God? A question that many have pondered throughout the ages. Has God reveled Himself to man? My Brother deconstructed to Deism, which has led him to what he refers to as Multi-dimensionalism (that he can become a god as he levels up various dimensions). Again, an idea that focuses on this idea of self.
Why are you so fervent about convincing Catholic Christians that Jesus is not God? That the Holy Trinity is untrue? Is it because you believe in what you believe to be true? Is it because you have been wronged by the Catholic Church and, as you say, your eyes have been opened? Opened to what? That is what I am trying to understand.
You constantly are saying that the Holy Trinity is not in the Bible. We have shown you that it is in the Bible, though not explicitly stated as “The Holy Trinity.” You have posted memes that tell you how you must think or that mock what we believe, but you have not convinced anyone of your interpretation.
I have asked you a few questions here in regards to your deconstructional journey. Once we learn a little more about one another then maybe respect towards each other’s perspective may naturally follow.
Thanks for explaining it!
But “We have shown you that it is in the Bible” is simply not true.
Jesus PROVED it.
Proved what? I’m still not sure what it is you believe. Only what you do not believe. Can you explain to me what you do believe?
Here is what I got so far:
- You believe that Jesus is not God
- You believe that the Holy Spirit is not God
- I’m unclear if you believe in One God or Three Gods
- I a m unclear if you believe in Modalism or something else
Can you confirm the things here that you do believe?
In your own words, explain to me what you believe. I do not get my theology from memes. Memes are for mocking and hyperbole.
What Jesus said in that graphic.
Jesus makes Memes? Or do you believe that the person who made that meme is divinely inspired? Do you put your authority in Memes? “In Memes I trust”?
What a SLOPPY diversion!
Fine. Jesus is fully human and fully divine. Jesus is also the second person of the Trinity. When Jesus it Praying to the Father, He is Praying to the first person of the Holy Trinity. I know the Muslim argument that Jesus cannot Pray to Himself and therefore he cannot be God, but this is a misunderstanding of the Holy Trinity.
May I ask why you have not deconstructed to Islam? Or maybe you have? You still have not answered my questions about where you have deconstructed to, so I am filling in the gaps. It would be better for you to fill in these gaps than for me to speculate.

You just can’t FOCUS on scripture.
