I don’t know which is the best, but I have watched A Man for All Seasons three or four times. St. Thomas More enjoyed worldly success but would not compromise and approve King Henry VIII’s marriage to a new woman when he was already married. In the end, Thomas More was executed for treason. The film shows how a holy man remained stubbornly ethical.
I don’t remember what it was called, but it was about a girl with some brain condition to where, over time, her motor skills would slowly go away. It was a beautiful movie. I cried of course LOL!
Tuesdays with Morrie (based on the book) was a TV movie with a similar story. Morrie had ALS (which killed my cousin Tom). Yet Morrie was not self-pitying and was always kind, encouraging and forgiving. A true story.
Awwwwwwwww, one thing I do remember, when I was watching whatever I was watching, it was so heartbreaking. And this girl never complained about anything, never complained about having ALS, nothing, and she was an absolutely sweet girl. It just really tugged at my heartstrings. I hope one day you will reunite with Tom and be eternally happy with all of your loved ones Literalman.
I like most of the movies about Jesus, especially the ones that follow scripture verse by verse. There is a terrific movie about Paul which I thoroughly enjoyed but I forget what it was called
Was Jim Caviezel also it it? I have a copy of that movie on DVD, but I haven’t watched it yet. Maybe I’ll watch it this upcoming Lenten Season.
The movie about Paul that I like is on YouTube. Here is a link
Peace to all,
The Pentecost of all Gentiles is From Saint Paul who was with Saint Peter through the Power of The Holy Spirit, I believe.
I like the story of Paul going into Corinth with Peter and Baptizing all with the Holy Spirit. Saint Peter says, who would not Baptized those into the Church Saint Paul Gave to the Holy Spirit?
Peace always,
Stephen
