Luminous Mysteries

If you are a TLM Catholic, do you and your family do the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary proposed by John Paul II?

I know most trads don’t since they weren’t part of the Rosary as given to St. Dominic, but I actually like them and tend to use them on Thursdays as proposed by JPII.

I do. The Rosary instructions I have include them do they are in my weekly routine.

I like the Luminous Mysteries. I am trad-adjacent, in that I think traditionalists have valid arguments when it comes to reverence in the Sacred Liturgy.

No, I don’t say the Luminous Mysteries. In addition to adding the Luminous Mysteries, however beautiful, it messed with the beautiful recitation structure of the traditional Rosary schedule.

The traditional structure is Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious (Mon-Sat) with Sunday rotating through the year, as follows:
Advent to beginning of Lent: Joyful Mysteries
Sundays during Lent: Sorrowful Mysteries
Easter to Advent: Glorious Mysteries

While I see the beauty of the Luminous Mysteries, I believe the traditional recitation structure is even more beautiful and just makes sense to me.

God bless and keep you!

Yes! I do the Scriptural Rosary and it has the Luminous.

I just finished the 54 day novena and the Luminous mysteries were included in that novena

No.

They are not in my Traditional missal.

Not interested in anything post V2.

As an update to my original post, my family has stopped with the Luminous Mysteries even though we are still rather fond of them.

We now adhere to this schedule that is in one of my Missals.
