Does anybody want to be a prayer buddy? I pray the rosary daily and some other chaplets, I have a notebook where I keep my rosary intentions by category, and if anyone else does something similar and prays daily maybe we could add each other to our prayer intentions? We can also vc or ft while praying and have a set time of prayer. I compile prayers, novenas, chaplets, rosaries, litanies and other devotions as books for personal use. I also prepare weekly prayer schedules every week in accordance with what’s relevant in that week’s catholic calendar (for example i put novenas 9 days before the relevant feast days, and other chaplets and prayers in accordance with what is relevant in that week, day or month. The prayer of Saint Francis is, “Lord please use me as your instrument.” He asks nothing for himself. Jesus says that the highest commandment or rule of God is to “Love the Lord thy God with all of thy heart, soul and strength.” We can pray for that. We can ask God to help us understand what genuine feelings of love for God feels like. Then Jesus said that the next most important rule is to love our neighbor as much as we love ourselves. This the symptom of one who loves God, because he begins to see everyone else as one of God’s children. We can measure our progress in that way.
