We here this phrase proclaimed a lot these days, but it is not in the Bible.
The Bible does say “No trial (or temptation) has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried (tempted) beyond your strength; but with the trial (temptation) he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it.” — 1 Corinthians 10:13
It is specifically talking about temptation. “Therefore, take care not to fall” (verse 12).
To my knowledge, no.
I don’t care for this platitude, personally. I have a lot of reasons for this. But for now, instead of saying this cliche, why not actually help somebody handle their difficulty by offering a specific and practical way to help ease their burden?

Amen to that! Eight years ago, when I was facing layoffs at the company where I worked (the layoffs came), a friend said he would circulate my résumé where he worked but couldn’t promise anything. I said I would rather have one person trying to help than a hundred people assuring me that I’ll be fine. (I was 64 when I got laid off but got another job and now am retired, thank God.)
