Does God talk to us through the Mass?

It has happened to me often in which God uses someone during mass to say something extremely specific regarding my current situation or issue. It is usually during the homily, but it has happened during other parts of the mass too less frequently. The phenomenon is so crazy, I feel like He is talking directly to me. I’ve never heard of this being a thing. I’ve heard of us opening Scripture to find God’s advice/answer to our prayers. But, in my experiences the mass has been much more specific with me.

Wondering if this happens to anyone else? Am I connecting dots that aren’t there? Are they all just coincidences?

We call these “God moments” : ) I love when this happens! It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it is a gift.

I’ve experienced this too. Sometimes I am sure that I am hearing from God. If it involves other people or something big, I may consult a priest or another mature Christian and ask whether it sounds like God. I’ve known people who refuse to submit their presumed words from God to anybody else. Many years ago I edited a book called Dialogue with God; the author said that when people think they are hearing personal words from God, they should always submit them to someone else for another opinion as to whether the words are really divine. I think it’s a good idea but not always necessary.
