Celebrating 36 years with God (No, not in a romantic way obviously)

Well, it’s Valentines Day, and I’m proud to be celebrating 36 years with the one being that has been with me through literally thick and thin. Thank you God for being around me for so long. Your love is something that’s the most real thing in this entire simulation, cause, the kind of love that happens in this simulation is manufactured. Only you can provide the real thing.

So, today I’m going to celebrate by being with God for an hour and just have a nice conversation with him. And then, I’m going to get some chocolates and maybe even a rose and I’m going to be spending the rest of the day with my Mother today. So, it’ll be nice.

What you doing this Valentine’s Day? :pink_heart:

I went to pray for an hour outside the busiest abortion clinic in Philadelphia: always a hard thing for me to do. In the evening I got a stromboli from a local pizza place and brought it back for me and my wife to have for dinner. Sometimes we go there to eat, and the cook asked where my wife was when I showed up. A lot of the sidewalks and crosswalks are still blocked with snow and ice, so my wife didn’t want to walk to the pizza place. But we had a nice dinner anyway. Oh, and I gave her a card and a binder with pages for holding stamps. She’s not a serious stamp collector but likes to save stamps that interest her.

Awwwww, that’s awesome Literalman. What a good husband. I’m sure wifey was excited!

Yes, our relationship with God should be very romantic. In the material sense what they call love is actually infatuation. Infatuation means “I want to enjoy another person”. Love means I want to be enjoyed. When we desire to br enjoyed by God, that is real love. We have been created because God enjoys being loved. Love is not about asking for anything. Love is only about seeking the pleasure of the one we love. One who loves has no sense of direction. The love that exists in his heart flows freely to all. To the humans, to the animals, to the birds of the air, to the chikens, to the turkeys, to the fishes. But we don’t know how to love. We only know how to exploit. And we want to be happy. The whole world is filled with tragedies, of forest fires, of daughts, of floods, of plagues (covid and aids), of volcanos, of earthquakes. Because we rape the resources of nature, kill all the animals and birds to satisfy our tongues sinful desires……and we want to be happy. And the distresses of our lives are God’s wake-up call. Then we say, “Bad luck”. But we are the creators of our own bad luck.
