I do find it interesting that Joseph Smith claims that the the Early Church went apostate soon after the death of the last Apostle, but used the same Canon of the Bible as the Protestants (with the exception of the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price, etc.) I would love to know how he came to this conclusion.
I started reading some of the Mormon Scriptures and plan to finish, and I do recall Joseph Smith railing about how much he did not like the Methodists. My guess is that he got his Canon of the Bible form the reformers, but this is just speculation on my part.
If there is a knowledgeable LDS individual who can help clarify this for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
I saw in another forum, someone recommend the book titled, “The King James Bible and the Restoration.” I will have to check that out.
Peace to all,
To me Catholicism is the fulfillment of the God from the Two Nature Spirit and Life Faith of Abraham becoming again in all One Holy Spirit Family One God in being. The New Living Sacrifice glorifies and transfigures from Sacrifice through Penance becoming again One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.
To me, logically, Infallible certainty is not throwing out but keeping all of the the feature / benefits of Old Covenant Salvation becoming the fulfilled faith and morality of The Christ and all the logical formulas of the Faith becoming again in all One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.
Some theologians wanted to throw out The Book of James because Saint James speaks so strongly in good works of the flesh. The books thrown out speak of good works of the Baptized flesh from The New Living Sacrifice through the Host in Penance forgiven to be able to become again from death and resurrection glorified and transfigured One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.
Catholicism has all of the logical formulas of the faith in the Christ through the Wondrous Mysteries of the Faith becoming again in all One Holy Family, to me.
But first we become into the Catholic Church through the New Eve, Baptized in the living waters becoming immortality from the spirit through the souls of all for the flesh through the Christ from Sacrifice through Penance forgiven re-Sanctified and Confirmed immortally glorified and incorruptibly transfigured becoming again One Holy Spirit Family One God in being, to me.
And we know not to preach or judge others or proselytize and but only for our own soul do we judge and we know to only generalize the Faith for all to share as One in being, to me.
Peace always,
Stephen
