1 Cor. 2 17 - 25 - ‘…The language of the Cross may be illogical to those who are not on their way to salvation, but those who are on the way see it as God’s power to save’.
So, continued efforts at seeing God’s saving grace as logical is not wrong; the error is seeing God in terms of “God Logic”, as if Logic somehow defines God.
St. Paul uses the word “logical” to mean ‘a way that makes sense’ and not using logic as a subject-category.
