I was watching this show, and the Priest got so annoyed with someone in the confessional, he was just like “Just go back and reflect on what it is you told me, and recite 60 Hail Mary’s for every minute you wasted of my time!”
This is like what Catholic bootcamp would look like LOL!
Priests generally prefer a confessional to be for sins, not chat. I think people in the States, Catholics et al, have managed to retain their sense of humour; I don’t see any humour in the UK. I find people here, humourless and socially puffed up. It is nice when you do get people who are able to express their joy. Christ said that His ‘burden is light’.
Thank you for the comment. Some people have their a** stuck up their pants and need to be able to laugh at themselves. And some people honestly haven’t a clue on how to do it. My Mom is one of them.
