Jesus explained that He resurrected sooner on Sunday at 5 am rather than Sunday at 3 pm, due to His Mother’s prayers.
Soul,
re: “Jesus explained that He resurrected sooner on Sunday at 5 am rather than Sunday at 3 pm, due to His Mother’s prayers.”
There would still only be two nights - Saturday night and Sunday night.
Between the two of us, you’re the only one who’s been saying that Jesus was physically dead for a full three days, or seventy-two hours in other words. I’m relaying that Jesus died at 3 pm in the afternoon on Friday (Matt. 27:45-56, Mk.15:33-37, and Lk. 23:44-46), which is why He said “With regard to the days, it should have been the evening of the third day (3 pm Sunday) to say that I had been in the sepulchre three days.” However, due to His Mother’s prayers, Jesus said that He resurrected earlier at the beginning of dawn on the third day (5 am Sunday), and thus with regard to hours, He was physically dead for only thirty-eight hours instead of seventy-two. This is confirmed in Matthew’s account: “Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.” (Matt. 28:1, The Poem of the Man-God: Vol. V)
Soul,
re: “Between the two of us, you’re the only [one] saying that Jesus was physically dead for a full three days, or seventy-two hours…”
I never said anything about 72 hours.
re: “I’m relaying that Jesus died at 3 pm in the afternoon on Friday…”
Friday afternoon, then, would be a portion of the first calendar day and a portion of the first daytime. Saturday would be all of the second calendar day, and all of the first night time, and all of the second daytime. And Sunday would be a portion of the third calendar day and all of the second night time and a portion of the third daytime, assuming that “5am Sunday” was daytime.
You can see that there are only 2 night times involved.
You believe that Jesus was physically dead for “three days and nights” and that is another way of saying three days, or seventy-two hours. However, Jesus wasn’t physically dead for that long.
Again, Jesus wasn’t physically dead for three days and nights, or seventy-two hours in other words. Jesus died at 3 pm in the afternoon on Friday (Matt. 27:45-56, Mk.15:33-37, and Lk. 23:44-46), which is why He said “With regard to the days, it should have been the evening of the third day (Sunday) to say that I had been in the sepulchre three days", but because of His Mother’s prayers, Jesus said that He resurrected earlier at the beginning of dawn on the third day (5 am Sunday), and thus with regard to hours, He was physically dead for only thirty-eight hours instead of seventy-two. This is confirmed in Matthew’s account: “Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.” (Matt. 28:1, The Poem of the Man-God: Vol. V)
Soul,
The Messiah never specified that 72 hours would be involved. You’re just guessing that a day and a night has to be referring to a full 24 hours - not a minute less and not a minute more. But it’s irrelevant anyway.
Please outline how what the Messiah said in the poem changes the number of night times to be involved - from three nights to two nights.
Shots fired! Ha-Ha! : )
Jesus’ alleged burial cloth ; )
Not “Lethal Weapon 6”? : )
Oh, I wasn’t taking shots. I was just mentioning that the Passion movie was based on the private revelations of Catherine Emmerich. While she was a true spokesperson of Jesus’s too, unfortunately, unbeknownst to Mel Gibson or not, her writings had been tampered with by Clemens Brentano. He took notes of her visions and years after her death wrote the books which we now can read. So, for the most part, what takes place in the movie isn’t what she initially wrote. Very sad. The reason I know this is because fast forward 125 years after Catherine Emmerich’s death, one of Jesus’s conversations with Maria Valtorta was about Emmerich on January 28th, 1949, which you can read in The Little Notebooks. How the conversation was brought up was Maria had finished reading Emmerich’s book, which was about the Passion of Jesus. And, what she read made her question whether or not she was a fraud, because what she read didn’t line up with things Jesus had been showing her and telling her for years by that point. Jesus responded confirming her thoughts and feelings, and explained that her writings were initially true, but they were “retouched” and are detached from the Truth. Thankfully, Maria’s visions of Jesus’s Passion are accurate, and there’s a lot of evidence for it. I hope Mel knows about Maria, and if he doesn’t, I hope he comes to, because making movies out of her descriptions would be beyond words amazing. Seriously. Passion is a great movie even though it’s mostly inaccurate, so just imagine how even greater a movie about Jesus’s Passion would be based on Maria’s accurate and in-depth details?
It’s not Jesus’s alleged burial cloth to me. Do you currently know little to nothing or a lot about the Shoud of Turin, the Sudarium of Oviedo, and the Veil of Manoppello?
Of course Lethal Weapon 5 too! haha. I’m super excited for it. Even though Lethal Weapon 4 was a perfect ending imo, I won’t not watch 5.
Peace to all,
The City of Jerusalem, Wed, Thur and Friday were His three nights in the Tomb.
Saturday Jesus was busy and descended on an early Saturday morning emptying the Bosom of Abraham and crossed over with all in the flesh to The Chasm of Hell and busted down the gates and tore down the walls destroying death forever resurrecting spirit and life in the New Heaven and Earth, Heaven for all.
The angels know of the coming power of flesh in Heaven saving the Angels and all mankind One Holy Spirit One God in being.
The Souls of all mankind and angels are Created failed and become transformed and sanctified and confirmed infallible incorruptible and undefiled through both natures, spirit and life glorified and transfigured becoming again One Holy Spirit Family One God in being.
Peace always,
Stephen
Firstly, you’ve been the one giving the impression that it’s your belief Jesus was lifeless for three days and three nights, as in seventy-two hours, but He wasn’t for the following reasons:
In ancient Israel, “three days and three nights” meant a period of about three days, including any part of a day, and a new day began and ended at sunset. According to Matthew, Mark, and Luke, Jesus died at “the ninth hour” (3 pm) in the late afternoon on “Preparation day, the day before the Sabbath” (Friday) (Matt. 27:46;50, Mk.15:34;37;15:42, and Lk. 23:44;46), and that the women disciples found His sepulchre empty on “the first day of the week” when it was “beginning to dawn” and “still dark” (Matt. 28:1, Lk. 24:1, Jn. 20:1). This means that Jesus resurrected at the beginning of dawn, as in before and close to dawn, on Sunday. See below:
Thursday ends and Friday begins at 6 pm (day 1)
Friday 6 pm to 3 pm: Jesus was alive
Friday 3 pm: Jesus’s Death
Friday 3 pm to 6 pm: Jesus’s Body remained lifeless
Friday ends and Saturday begins at 6 pm (day 2)
Saturday 6 pm to 6 pm: Jesus’s Body remained lifeless
Saturday ends and Sunday begins at 6 pm (day 3)
Sunday 6 pm to 5 am: Jesus’s Body remained lifeless
Sunday 5 am (an hour before dawn): Jesus’s Resurrection
Sunday ends and Monday begins at 6 pm
Monday ends and Tuesday begins at 6 pm
Tuesday ends and Wednesday begins at 6 pm
Wednesday ends and Thursday begins at 6 pm
As shown above, Jesus did rise on the third day, just as He said He would. (Matt. 12;40;17:22-23, Mk. 9:31)
Secondly, regarding what Jesus said to Maria Valtorta about His resurrection, He was just saying that if you count the days by their names or hours, with regard to the hours, His Body was lifeless for thirty-eight instead of seventy-two, and with regard to the days by their names, it should have been the evening of Sunday to say that He had been in the sepulcher for three days. And, He explained that the reason why He resurrected on the third day at 5 am instead of hours later is because His Mother’s prayers anticipated the miracle of His resurrection. In other words, Her prayers led to His resurrection occurring hours in advance, and this is supported by Matthew’s, Mark’s, and Luke’s accounts. (Matt. 28:1, Lk. 24:1, Jn. 20:1, The Poem of the Man-God: Vol. V)

StephenAndrew,
re: “The City of Jerusalem, Wed, Thur and Friday were His three nights in the Tomb.”
That would mean the crucifixion took place during Thursday daytime.
The Catholic Church, though, thinks it took place during Friday daytime.
Peace to all,
Jesus was crucified Friday out of the Tomb of Jerusalem by Saturday 3 am, I believe.
Peace alwyas,
Stephen

Two things about your post -
In your previous post, you said that the Messiah was in the Tomb on Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night.
Now you’re saying He was only in the tomb for one night. Which one is correct?

Right, Jesus arrived in the Tomb of Jerusalem on a Donkey, in Jerusalem on Wednesday, I believe.

Stephen
OK, now I know you’ve just been messing with me. So, I think we’re done here.
The kettle calling the pot the same color.
