Before proceeding with posting a New Topic, or Replying to an existing Topic, we ask that you first spend some time reading our community Guidelines. These Guidelines are what govern our behavior here at CatholicTalk. By posting a message or reply, you agree to follow these Guidelines.

The Introductions category is where new registered Users have an opportunity to say hello, introduce oneself, and tell others a bit about yourself.

To do so, create a New Topic in the Introductions category. Select the New Topic button located at the top right of your screen.

A new window will open. Give the Topic a title and below that begin composing your message. When done, at the lower left of that window select the Create Topic button.


A few suggestions what to include in your Introduction:

  • Your first name (optional, but suggested).
  • What brought you here to CatholicTalk forum.
  • How did you learn about this forum.
  • What would you like to get out of being a Member here.
  • A brief history of your faith, or lack of faith.
  • Goals you’re pursuing.
  • Career field or vocation.

Recommendations what NOT to include in your Introduction:

  • Never post any personal identifiable information about yourself or others (such as your email address, residential address, phone number, etc. (This is a public forum and what you post is visible for the world to see, including Search Engines).
  • Hostility, disrespect, or discord which create divisions. (for example… “I’m here because I hate abc and xyz because they’re scumbags”).
  • Lengthy or long-winded paragraphs. Keep it simple, tidy, brief, and to the point. Break up your lengthier paragraphs into smaller sentences.

We’re glad your here and we welcome those who are baptized Catholic, seeking information about the Catholic faith, in the process of becoming Catholic, RCIA participants, and anyone else with a sincere desire to share their Faith experiences with others to build the Community of believers.
