Why do I have a piece of cake next to my username?

Did any of you gift me some digital cake? Can you see the cake icon or is it something that only I can see? It is not my Birthday : )

Oh Cade, I know why you have a cake next to your name. Today marks the anniversary of when you joined this forum. If I click on your picture, and if I hover over the cake on your profile it says this is the anniversary of when you joined this forum.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CADE!!! :birthday_cake: :shortcake: WE LOVE YOU!

Maybe Cade gave up cake for Lent. A funny thing I saw years ago at work was a young coworker almost jumping up and down and taking something out of her mouth and throwing it away. I asked her what was the matter. I thought maybe she had bit down on a piece of metal in her food. She said she had given up candy for Lent and remembered it only after putting candy into her mouth.

LOL! That’s cute Literalman. Giving up something for Lent is tough I was told. If I had to do something for Lent, I wouldn’t give up something, but I would do something extra personally.

@Cade_One

Cake. Hmmm yum. Can I have a slice? :slightly_smiling_face:

I notice you have a sheild next to your name as well Cade…

He’s a mod too…that’s what the shield means.

You cracked the mystery! Thanks : )

I liked your story about your co-worker. Hilarious! I remember an episode of the “Hands & Feet” Podcast back in the day, where they decided to call Gerard and live on the recording to see what he was up to.

phone is ringing

Gerard: Hello?

H&F Gang: What’s up?!

Gerard: Ah, enjoying a delicious meat-lovers pizza! : )

H&F Gang: “G,” it’s Friday! It’s Lent!

Gerard: Oh crap man, well… :joy:

I miss that show. They started off as a bunch of young, Catholic friends who ran their Parish’s youth group. Then they started their podcast in the mid 2000’s around the same time my Wife and I started ours. They were a lot of fun!

“G” played a character named “Fr. Bag O’donuts” : ) Did I mention “G” is Irish and everyone else in the gang is Hispanic, which made for a fun dynamic. I am still friends with many of these former Podcasters on Facebook and sadly, Gerard is no longer Catholic. He was/is still running sound for a non-Denominational Church in Florida; he is still a Christian, and everyone else is still Catholic : )

You should show a picture of your wife. I bet she’s drop dead gorgeous.
