I was really into Christian Music back in the 90’s, but have not listened to it in a while, with the exception of a few artists (Skillet, Matt Maher, TobyMac, and a few others). Help me discover your favorite songs.
Yes, I think the 90’s were the golden age of popular Christian music. There was a local radio station that played the music I’m nostalgic for. DC Talk, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline…That radio station was not a commercial success and new owners changed the format.
The two local Christian music stations that are still here in business play mostly praise and worship aimed at adults. While I am indeed an adult, I find myself instead longing for Christian music with more of a rock or even pop sound. I have been listening to the AccuRadio app, but I really miss listening to a live person on the air introducing the songs with a little trivia and chit-chat thrown in…even commercials make me feel more connected to the rest of the world!
Does anyone know of a station like that? Doesn’t matter what city it broadcasts from. Nowadays we can all listen on the intetnet.

We have a few great local stations. YES FM was huge when I was in College. In fact, Sanctus Real won local battle of the bands night after night back then prior to being signed.
i guess, i’m not too much of a religious person… so, i guess i don’t really has much of “favorite christian songs”, BUT, one of the Christian’s contents that i like to listen to is this 24/7 youth charismatic’s streaming:
i listen to it like almost everyday, while doing other stuffs :VV
pretty good songs, videography, youth members, appearances, etc
it’s pretty much an energizing band :DD
I can’t deal with (any) Christian music. My brow furrows in timely fashion as my forehead smacks the table-surface, hands clasped over my ears. I preference pop-songs and which lend themselves to and sometimes are Catholic-spiritual. I like ‘Africa’ and ‘Mary’s Prayer’, to name but two.
