Agreed Cade…raisin’s are nasty as f, and in other food? I’ll pass…
“Peanut Butter” has the word “pea”, but there are no peas in peanut butter.
“Hamburger” begins with the word “ham”, but hamburger is made from beef and not pork.

The living functions of living entities are: eating, sleeping, defending (or fearing), and mating.
People do these things, and animals do these things. The difference between an animal and a human being is that only the human being can cultivate spiritual life. The animal cannot understand. The dog has affection for his master. Great affection. But the dog cannot understand the teachings of Jesus.
Both humans and animals are living. But the central conception of their lives is very different. If a human being is devoid of spiritual cultivation, he is a royal edition of an animal. Fancy eating, fancy sleeping, fancy defense systems, and fancy mating practices. A royal animal.
“Devil” is anything that distracts us from our spiritual, devotional consciousness. Jesus said in his sermon on the mount, that a man cannot have two masters. We are serving one or the other. Even the most pious person is in the hands of the devil if he is not in devotional prayer. Jesus made that point when he he said that it is harder for a wealthy man to know God than it is to pass a camel through the eye of a needle. He said this when a very, very good and pious man came to Jesus and asked him how he could become more spirituall advanced. Jesus said, “Give it al to the poor and follow me.” But the man couldn’t do it. He couldn’t folllow Jesus because the devil was telling him that the temporal things of the world, his social status, his wealth, his way of life were more important than being close to God. He could have “lived” with Jesus…but he chose to be with the “devil” (another word for “mammon”).

“Devil” backwards does not mean “lived.” It spells “lived.” “God” spelled backwards is “dog”; that doesn’t mean that God and a dog are opposites, or that a dog is God. English has loads of words that spell something else when the letters are reversed, but their meanings are not opposite just because they have opposite spelling. I could have said “a ton of words” instead of “loads of”; in the same sentence I used “not,” which is “ton” spelled backwards. And I used “are,” which is “era” spelled backwards. Significance: none.

For those of us who believe in reincarnation
I don’t believe in reincarnation. Scripture tells us that after death, comes judgement, not another chance to come back as someone or something else.
“Reincarnation” belief is found in Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism. And those Eastern religions believe that one can be reincarnated into an animal, tree, or other thing.
Christianity, however, believe that man (human) is created by God and that we look forward to Resurrection of the body, not reincarnation. Christians also believe in the soul, eternal life, the beatific vision, and Sainthood in heaven.
