**Which Bible Translation(s) do you commonly read?**

I use the The Revised New American Bible (since that is what we hear in the Sacred Liturgy) and The Orthodox Study Bible (which is the New King James) mostly. I also keep an NIV New Testament in my car for more casual reading.

Yes it certainly does. It took some getting used, too. I guess I’m just an old soul and love this version and the challenge! I’ve learned that many traditional Catholics use this version.

I prefer the NRSV, but I also have NASB Bibles.

I like the RSV because it’s so close to the Greek original texts.

I use several. Douay Rheims Challoner is my favorite, but is a little hard to read for a dummy like me. RSV-CE2 from Ignatius Press is good. Also, the New Catholic Bible (not the NAB) from Catholic Publishing (Fr. Jude Winkler, OFM Conv.) is an accurate and easy read with good commentary (which I don’t always agree with, but there’s no modernism or “inclusive” language crap).

The Navarre Bible, it’s a few volumes, but I really like the footnoters

Cade\_One: I highly recommend that you stay away from the NIV. It is written in large part to support Protestant doctrine. Unless you are studying as a biblical scholar, I also recommend that you stick only to approved Catholic versions. For more detailed insights, check out a few articles on which bible versions should be used via the Catholic Answers website.

My preference is the New American Bible (which puts me in the minority within the TLM community). I also like the RSVCE. Of course, I think my Missal uses the Douay Rheims.

Over the years I’ve used the douay rheims, the rsvce, now I’ve settled on the Nabre , 2 beautiful bibles, one for home, one for out and about.
