# Unexplained noise

I was home alone, I heard a loud bang coming from my attic, like a heave box dropped onto the floor. Later went up to check it out, nothing was out of order, no signs of a raccoon. However as I stood on the ladder of the attic I noticed a pendant that was about 1inch in height and width. My husband took a closer look, it appears to be glued to the board on the wall, it is a St. Christopher prayer. I think the loud sound was to draw my attn to that prayer but I’m not sure why. Any ideas? Also not Catholic but my husband is.

Wow! That is an interesting story.
My first guess would have been a racoon and then you ruled that out.
I am naturally a skeptic, but I have experienced something weird in my own life. So, even though I am skeptical by nature, I rarely mock these types of things anymore.
I am listening to [this interview](https://forum.catholictalk.net/t/can-you-prove-that-god-exists-and-if-you-cannot-why-do-you-believe/4111/46) and the young gentleman brings up the topic of unexplainable events and as a self-proclaimed skeptic himself, cannot explain such things. He recently announced to his thousands of YouTube subscribers that he is becoming Catholic Christian.

I’m skeptical of mystical experiences, but I believe they do happen. The problem is discerning true from fake so I usually choose to ignore. So whether it was gravity or God, it brought you to the St. Christopher’s prayer. I’d say it regularly.
