Im 27 and haven’t found my purpose yet. I got kicked out of medical school due to sudden mental health issues. I’ve gone on to do an MBA. But i still am unemployed and don’t know what my true calling is.

I would like to grow in faithfulness in the small things. Do my daily duties. Grow in diligence, find something to be dedicated to, fill my days, and grow in purity. Where do I start as an unemployed 27yo living with my parents? I long to be a mother but am nowhere close to having a spouse.

Welcome to _CtholicTalk_!

I would say that you need to get out more. There are many opportunities to meet others. I attend a weekly board game night at a nearby Lutheran Church and there quite a few young adults there. No one is trying to convert anyone. It is just board games, ice cream & fellowship with others who otherwise would be sitting in their parents’ home. And the first week of the month, we have a full meal, and over time everyone (though it was never expected) began bringing food to share.

There are also service opportunities in the life of the Parish. Our Church has quite a few ministries and small groups that one can participate.

Facebook Events is another great place to see what might be going on in and around your community.

I think the big thing is getting out and forming friendships and relationships. I got the job that I have now through a friend I met in College. They say “It is all who you know,” and that, fortunately or unfortunately, is true.

My Wife and I got Married when I was 26. We met working at Kmart. My 30’s were some of the best times of my life, so don’t think when you turn 30 that everything’s over. Your 30’s can be awesome!

I do not know if you live in a small town or a heavily populated area, but [this](https://www.catholicjobs.com/) is a great website to find job opportunities (especially if you are willing to move).

I am happy to Pray for you and I’m sure others here are happy to do the same.

Christ’s peace,

Joshua

Hey @Lara1, the very desire to be faithful in small things is already a grace, most of us start right there. When I am scattered I pray one decade and let Our Lady carry the rest; a little web app called Rosaria just puts the day’s mysteries in front of me so I don’t lose the thread. St. Josemaria’s little things done with great love got me through a rough patch too. Praying you find your calling, you’re not as far off as it feels.
