# How is your Lent going?

This Lent has been fretful, but I have hit a point where I have become _muh_.
I started off this Lent reading every night and I was doing pretty well; then I missed one night and then another night and slowly I fell away from this Lenten practice. Much like how I fell away from my Faith in College. You miss Church a few times until you no longer _miss_ Church.
I attended _Adoration_ the other night and I was in a weird mood. Maybe it was because the strong winds had blown off the new sign on my Wife’s hair salon studio. Or maybe it was because I was tired and I signed up for the ten-midnight timeslot. Or maybe it was because the heater in the Church was on when I got there, turned off, and then never came back on, so it was colder than usual. And instead of bringing these complaints to the Lord, I just let these things effect my joy and my time with Him.
I have been annoyed more easily the last week or so and it is nobody’s fault, but my own.
I have, however, done pretty good at fasting. I just need to work on not letting these other unforeseen disasters and discomforts prevent me from experiencing the joy of my Lord, which will come at Easter. And I need to put my trust & hope in Jesus more during this Lenten Season. This is my Prayer.

Every step towards God goes into our account.
Sometimes I’m like you. My heart gets slack. I don’t strive for taking shelter. Then the clouds move in.
But as soon as I become serious again, about getting close, and feeling His presence, I’m at His ATM making my deposit. And it just continures from where I left off. God safeguards my balance, even when I look away.
And when I come back He adds my new deposit with a smile.
I get encouragement from you, Cade. Keep the good news coming.

Mine is going well and it will lead me to Divine Mercy Sunday after Easter.We should all follow through with Divine Mercy Sunday.
