Did the Council of Trent teach “baptism of desire”? Or was it an error of fallible saintly men, who misunderstood Trent Session 6 chapter 4.? Keep in mind that there was a lot of contention at the Council of Trent regarding the sacrament of baptism and the sacrament of Penance!! The First Vatican Council affirmed this truth!
