# Common Misquoted Verses in the Bible: "Money is the root of all evil."

The Bible never says that money is evil. [1 Timothy 6:10](https://biblehub.com/1_timothy/6-10.htm) is saying that the _love_ of money is what is disordered and can lead to all sorts of evil.
