I recently put forward a post stating my practical view of alien existence, while something just happened which I wasn’t expecting… It’s just gone midnight in the UK. Got home after shopping and went back to the car to return the shopping-bags into the boot, nice and quiet in the fair-sized residential carpark with a lovely view of the sky and which I sometimes go and look up at briefly for a few minutes. As I opened the boot, I happened to look upwards into the far distance and in the blink of an eye saw a light shoot forward and disappear. Quite a strong, noticeable light, its shape a horizontal elipse. And its position was in a movement away from me, not towards. It cannot have been a drone because it disappeared and was too high up. And it couldn’t have been a comet because they are much higher up, again, right up in space, and they often have a tail. You can tell a comet is outside of the Earth’s atmosphere and specify a comet as a comet from its shape. This was the height of a plane, maybe a jet fighter, at a slightly lowered altitude - just beneath the clouds. And it disappeared quicker than a comet. It was the way it flashed into nowhere. There have been fireworks, this evening, yet they stopped about three hours ago and this was higher up in comparison and not travelling in a vertical direction. It appeared, shot along for about a second and then vanished. I saw Elon Musk’s satellites go overhead (and have obviously witnessed comets) and once a group of strange aircraft flying quite low and which many apparently saw in this region and who were arguing against being drones yet which I was stating undoubtedly were, in hindsight, while this is nothing like I’ve ever seen before. It’s a big universe? ---

I personally do not believe in Aliens (from other Planets). [Many Atheists I encounter do](https://forum.catholictalk.net/t/why-do-many-atheists-believe-in-aliens-but-not-god/1895). ---

Well, that’s the theory of aliens well and truly debunked… As for what I saw…it will just have to sit gathering dust in the archives of the unsolved. ---

My only question regarding aliens: Friends or Foes? Otherwise I don’t care. If Shlingor the reptilian is disguised as a human and works next to me five days per week, good for him. The poor sap is worse off than I am; coming to a new world only to work as a cog in the human wheel.
